Shuttle SH55J2 review

Today we will examine Shuttle's latest proposal for all those who need a compact and stylish small factor system, the SH55J2. Designed to support Intel's highly overclockable LGA1156 processors, DDR3 memory and powered by the H55 chipset, the XPC...

To sum up, the Shuttle SH55J2 is a fairly priced barebone for what it offers: support for the Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors, up to 16GB memory and decent overclocking performance. The box costs ~ €268 and if you are looking for a new SFF this should...

my specs are: intel i5 760 pny gtx 460 oc ocz gold 12gb (3x4gb) g skill phoenix pro series 128gb ssd also dont worry about the 300watt psu. it handles the job great. i have 500 watt psu that i bought for $100 off shuttle that it turned out i didnt...

its small and and excellent choice for lan parties. glossy front looks good near my samsung tv and the i.c.e. fan is pretty silent. my setup boots win 7 in 8 seconds. i love it for what it does

i had to rma one cause it wouldnt start to bios. the second one worked perfect tho which leads to the real reason i removed eggs.... HEAT. cause the case is small your graphics card is almost hugging the wall. the case has vent holes at the bottom but...

I Like it..

I built a Shuttle sn41g2v2 computer several years ago and it still is going strong today. I got a Refurb from newegg. (So I am assuming I have a former DOA from one of you unlucky people) It works great, haven't had a single problem with it. Using Dual...

Small, Quiet

Limited Overclocking abilities ; Seems to be lower quality that older shuttles

Need to say it....

i7-870 Slightly OCed' GTX 460 16GB DDR3 160GB SSD 2TB HD DVD Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Works great, temps a within reason for such a cramped environment. Games like a champ! Thinking about getting the 500watt pc93 and upgrading to a 560 or a 6950.

Works with everything I purchased to put in this computer

Limited expansion ; Setting up usb was a pain

Have built several Shuttles in the past, but this is my last Shuttle Project. There are some serious issues with this product.

If it worked at all, I could say something here

Tried two of these neither would post with i3 processor. Sent the first back, same result with second unit. Even bought new RAM but same issue ; Got tired of spending my weekends (and money) trying to get it to work. sent it back again

What is going on with Shuttle?

I think I may be done with Shuttle they are giving me the impression that they are loosing the quality they once had. I really do not need the headaches and delays caused by poor quality control. As I look around I see more and more no post issues with...

I thought from years of experience with Shuttle this would make a nice computer, the second one is

The powers supply is a joke 300 WATTS come on now that is just being cheap ; (Yeah someone turn me onto a video card that will run on 300 watts or less please.) ; I purchased the first one it was DOA had to pay for return shipping which I really...

Careful

Hate troubleshooting finding out things. Some reviews here were posted after I ordered. Bad luck I guess.

Cleaner insides than previous models

i5-750 doesn't work with it because the VGA/HDMI is actually pass-through graphics (as other have said). Unfortunately, I can't even return my i5-750 and buy a i5-670 which is more expensive but includes graphics. So I'm going to go retail and try...

After many years of using the MSI Hetis series as my go to SFF PC, I was dissappointed by most aspects of this system - but it gets the job done. CPU temp drops significantly when the case cover is removed, maybe I need to drill some holes in the...

It mostly works ; double slot graphics cards fit ; 4 DDR3 ram slots ; Light weight

BIOS instability, CPU overheats after resume from standy (fan speed stays low). Heatsink is not really able to deal with 95 watt CPU - load temps in mid to high 80's - can not lower CPU voltage, only increase. Construction feels flimsy. Hard to get...
