Eggsellent Power!

In my opinion, this is probably one of the hidden gems, both price wise and quality wise, of all of the PSU's I researched. Newegg is my number 1 place to shop for computer parts online....Happy customer for several years now....THANK YOU NEWEGG!

This is a really good PSU! I needed a new power supply after one of the nasty thunderstorms we had in my area knocked out my old one. This one was recomended by a friend of mine who builds custom computers for businesses and gamers. Right away I...

Not really a con but it is OVERKILL for my modest system. It also has alot of unused cables to contend with, May need them some other time but for now they are stuffed into an empty drive bay

Solid Unit

Why did it have to have two 4 pin CPU connectors clipped together? Seems weird to me.

Plenty of power for what I'm using it on. Good combo deal with my Asus MoBo. Tons of connectors. Not to heavy

I'm not using half of the cables so they're just jamed in the bottom of my case ; Also the one of the 8 pin connectors is actually two 4 pins clipped together. Took me far to long to figure that out

Good Good Good

Good PSU, stable. Very long cables sure to reach in any case

UP* actually impaled my box sometime during shipping. The retail box was broken, and the unit had a scratch on it

Not quite up to the price.

The cost on this 650W means you're comparing it to other supplier's 750W, which admittedly may have more rails, which is debatable as a pro or con. However, the one thing that isn't debatable is that this unit supplies 650W well, but that's it. It's...

First, let's talk about the significant positives. This is a power supply that performs exceptionally well for it's ratings, with dead on performance at all voltages, and after six months, the unit still performs well, which is a testament to it

Still, for it's price, there are several things lacking. The cabling on the unit is prone to clutter, it's not fully sleeved - something you'd expect at this price point. The unit itself gets very warm under even normal load (a single 8800GTX, E6750)....

Silverstone OP 650 6 month review

FYI... This powers 3 SATA-300 HDD's(320gb, 250 gb, and 160 gb), an EVGA 8800 GTX, AMD X2 6000+, ASUS M2N-E Mobo, 3 Gigs of Crucial DDR2 800, 2 SATA DVD burners, several 120 mm LED fans, and I feel like I could add anything else and it wouldn't miss a...

I'm an an@l person and did a LOT of research before I put my last build together (plus 6+ other builds for friends and family). This PSU puts out stable voltage and powers my mid to high-level gaming rig perfectly. Easy to install (but all PSU's are),...

More than a tad more expensive than some other PSU's I considered (like Tharmalt@ke), but the stablity and high marks around the web (not just newegg, but other PSU-centric sites) made this a good decision
