Sony VAIO VGC-LA38G

Cheaper than competitors, and also more portable, the Sony VAIO should help revolutionise how we view the PC and its place in the home.

Outlook Cheaper than both the Dell and HP, and also more portable, the Sony VAIO should help revolutionise how we view the PC and its place in the home.

First take: Sony Vaio VGC-LA38G

Sony claims its Vaio L series is a fusion PC, and we couldn't agree more. Depending on your perspective, it could either be an ungainly portable, or a very expensive but sleek desktop.

Sony VAIO VGC-LA38G

I was the first person to purchase this excellent piece of equipment in Queensland. I had been looking for the perfect computer to suit my unique style and this was it. It is compact and yes it still can be placed into a 19" bag.

I have had my Sony Vaio L Series since the first day it arrived on the shelves and it has a been the dream machine. Teamed with a great mouse and Vista, I have had no flaws

I haven't found any yet

"Well designed, ergonomically."

I had been looking for a portable PC that's well designed ergonomically and VAIO VGC-LA38G came close.

SONY speakers upright facing the user, touchpad on the right thus doesn't obstruct fast typing with the inclined keypad, good heat dissipation with the CPU and major components mounted at the back of the LCD screen

Viewing angle of built-in camera can't be adjusted

"Bad...but not quite as the rest"

slow...well a bit. what's the use of getting a portable desktop when there are notebooks and laptops??? find it weird. can just make this into a cool looking laptop or say this is an LCD TV laptop than saying it's a portable desktop. the name says it...

Having the name VAIO on the outside and a battery (useful in blackouts lol)

Many....it's ungainly looks may attract some, but make some loathe it
