Fantastic computer

A great, fast computer. I wanted to use it mainly for accounting purposes so really needed to have a 32bit instead of a 64bit as Quickbooks would not run on it. (Found this out after I had purchased computer). Pros: I love the sleek styling, large...

XPS 435 MT

Just arrived yesterday, two weeks ahead of schedule, so haven't done much with it yet. Yes, it is a dust magnet, but they've apparently quickly fixed the fan noise problem, absolutely silent in start up and operation.

Unbeatable performance for price

Awesome performance for the money. Especially if you will be using programs that take advantage of multi threading. Games like, FarCry2 and Crysis run flawlessly even on 1920x1080 resolution. While it does lack the extra PCI-E slot for Crossfire or SLI...

Exellent System with a reasonable Price !!!

Pros I almost decided to go with the Dell precision for my Solidworks use but ended up with this system because of the i7 processor. I made the right choice. After replacing the video card with a NVIDIA Quadro CAD card, FX570, the system operates very...

Performance is great, but this thing is noiser than my launch model 360. Loud enough to make an impact on gaiming and movie watching experience with the speakers up loud. I was going to leave an encoding task run overnight but the fans are so loud I...

XSP 1640 is Hot!!!

I own the mini9, XSP 420, a studio 1535 and now an XPS 1640. All have been great machines except for the roasting I'm getting out of the 1640. We will see how tech support handles this one otherwise dell has lost a loyal customer.

I love the feel of the keyboard on this machine. I also have a Studio 1535 and this keyboard is way more comfortable. The performance is pretty good as well

This lapop is hot and I don't mean that is a nice sexy way. I am pretty sure I can prepare a grill cheese sandwhich on the keyboard and use the AC power adapter as a hotplate. The AC adapter overheats to the point where it stops working. If Dell could...

Initial Impressions.

Got mine with the Radeon4670, 8 gigs of ram and 1.28TB Raid 0; so far its looking good. The only game I play with it is World of Warcraft and the Radeon 4670 is certainly adaquate for that; if you like to indulge in the latest games though I would...
