Cheap, Small, works with Windows 8

Range is short, it cannot detect as many wireless networks as my other systems

Works great, has gotten me out of several jams in XP, where I didnt have the driver for the built in wiresless or wired, then pop this in, put in the CD and Im online in minutes. Now I can get the drivers for the internal network cards

Not only it doesn't work, it generates smokes and burns my USB port that I have to pull the melted thingy out right away with my fingers burned. Now one of my USB port is completely useless

You must run the installation program to install drivers. Select to install "drivers only" and it won't install their wireless tool. You can't search the disc for compatible drivers, as it won't find any

Easy to install, do it manually with the CD for XP Pro

be careful rotating the antenna as it splits the case, had to glue the case back together to keep the antenna from flopping down ; The unit is fragile
