ViewSonic VPC100 All-in-One PC

Everyone loves a big screen, and that's exactly what ViewSonic's VPC100 all-in-one desktop PC delivers (the screen is 18.5 inches). Unfortunately, to get to that point and hold the price down ($550 as of 11/16/09), ViewSonic has taken a few shortcuts...

Comparable performance to rival budget all-in-ones ; Good quality display

No Wireless-N connectivity (only B/G) ; No touchscreen

ViewSonic's VPC100 misses the mark. It's not a great performer and lacks the touchscreen, DVD drive, or 802.11n Wi-Fi to make up for it.

ViewSonic VPC100 Review

When considering which PC to buy, the terms “all-in-one” and “performance” needn't be mutually exclusive: Look no further than Dell's XPS One, HP's TouchSmart, or Apple's iMac product lines for proof. These machines are outfitted with components that...

Inexpensive; consumes little power; thin and wall-mountable; built-in DVD burner

Slow for all but the most basic tasks; tiny hard drive; wired (PS/2!) mouse and keyboard; DVD-decoder software not included

You can find this all-in-one street-priced less than $500, but ultimately, you

ViewSonic VPC100

The ViewSonic VPC100's svelte profile and good looks can't compensate for its relatively high price and lackluster performance compared with all-in-one nettops with more features.

Extraordinarily slim profile for an all-in-one; bright, crisp 18.5-inch screen built in

Same price as (and similar specs to) MSI's Wind Top, but with less RAM and no touch screen; sluggish performance, even for a nettop

Though we'd recommend the ViewSonic VP100 before we would Averatec's 18.4-inch All-In-One PC, due to the latter's questionable build quality, the touch-screen-capable MSI Wind Top AE1900-05SUS is a better value for the same price, and it performs...

ViewSonic VPC100 All-in-One PC

ViewSonic is known for monitors, but the vendor also has a handful of compelling PC computers, including the VPC100 All-in-One. As opposed to the traditional all-in-one PC that is high-performance and expensive, the ViewSonic VPC100 All-in-One is...

ViewSonic has an online support center, but it's pretty limited. For the ViewSonic VPC100 All-in-One PC specifically, you can find a product manual and downloadable drivers. You can also register your new computer online or purchase an extended warranty

ViewSonic VPC100 desktop PC review

ViewSonic aren't the first company you'd think of to release an all-in-one PC, but given their experience in displays, it's a move that perhaps makes sense. But can they challenge the likes of Sony, offering a cheaper alternative all-in-one? The VPC100...

HD display looks great with XP, slim

Design and build quality issues, poor accessories, price looks too high against competition

Great looking screen, but this offering looks expensive alongside the other options out there

ViewSonic VPC100 - 19in All-in-One PC

ViewSonic extends its repertoire with an All-in-One PC, but is it ready to take on the established players?

Though the rest of the machine isn't quite as well-built, with some flex around the optical drive area, nonetheless it's well up to standard overall. It's not a bad-looking AIO-PC either, despite the slight dissonance between its rounded top and...

ViewSonic VPC100 All-in-One review

Unfortunately, to get to that point and hold the price down to £339 inc VAT, ViewSonic has taken a few shortcuts with the ViewSonic VPC100 All-in-One system's core functionality. It's a tough market for inexpensive all-in-one desktops. Limitations on...

For a system that strips back the functionality that makes an all-in-one worth purchasing, look no further than the ViewSonic VPC100. But if you want better performance and functionality, and are prepared to eschew the convenience of an all-in-one, you...

Viewsonic VPC100 review

Monitor manufacturer ViewSonic is now selling PCs too.

A stylish-looking all-in-one nettop, but there are better-value models available.

ViewSonic VPC100 review

The ViewSonic VPC100 is a larger-than-normal nettop, but that's where the excitement stops. Everything else about this machine is standard fare. We'd only recommend it if a relatively large display is a requirement

Large, 18.5-inch screen

Wired keyboard and mouse

Conclusion The ViewSonic VPC100 has a larger display than most nettops, but that's about it. It doesn't have a touch-sensitive panel, and doesn't do much else to stand out from the crowd. Buy one if you need a cheap second PC. Otherwise, look elsewhere
