Viewsonic VSD220

The Viewsonic VSD220 is a unique 22-inch monitor that doubles as a standalone Android-powered all-in-one PC.

Reasonably priced. Good color and text reproduction. Energy efficient.

Quirky touch screen. Weak grayscale performance. Narrow viewing angles.

This smart display has the sizzle, but lacks the steak

The ViewSonic VSD220 bills itself as an “all-in-one” smart display: part TV, part monitor, part tablet. While it sounds great at first, the truth about the VSD220 is that it’s 75% potential, 25% execution.

ViewSonic VSD220 Smart Display

A monitor that runs Android, making it an ultra-affordable all-in-one computer.

Versatile and a lot of fun, A cheap route to an AIO PC, Healthy feature set

Display quality is so-so, Such a large touchscreen can feel awkward

Viewsonic VSD220 review

A monitor-come-Android-tablet combo for all your computing needs?

Built-in Android tablet functionality ; Supports Windows 8 touch ; Decent TN panel and image quality

Performance in Android tablet mode is very poor ; App support is patchy ; Needs an operating system update

The Viewsonic VSD220 Smart Display has an awful lot going for it. £330 might be a lot for a 22-inch PC monitor. But when you factor in the Android functionality along with support for Windows 8 touch, it's a compelling package. At least it is on paper....

ViewSonic VSD220 Android Smart Display pictures and hands-on - Pocket-lint

The ViewSonic VSD220 is something of an oddity. Pitched as an all in one PC "smart display" it is essentially a monitor - something ViewSonic knows a lot

Viewsonic VSD220 Smart Display review

The Viewsonic VSD220 is quite unlike anything we've seen before. Its Smart Display moniker implies it's a simple monitor, the VSD220's home hub defines itself as a tablet, but it's actually a 22in all-in-one PC that's powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream...

An ambitious idea, but this Android-powered all-in-one PC fails to make an impression

ViewSonic VSD220 Smart Display review

Big, bright and beautiful, ViewSonic's VSD220 Android-powered screen could be not just your next monitor, but your next TV. But should it be?

ViewSonic's VSD220 Smart Display is a great first stab at a smart display let down only by occasional laggy performance and the fact that better is likely on the horizon

ViewSonic VSD220 review

ViewSonic is the first manufacturer to launch an accredited Google Mobile Services (GMS) all-in-one (AIO) personal computer (PC). More simply known as the ViewSonic VSD220.

If you’re willing to abandon Windows or Mac OS and conduct your day-to-day work on a mega-size Android tablet, the ViewSonic VSD220 is a classy take on what may well be a new desktop genre. If you expect to work on it with more than occasional typing,...
