MSI Wind CS120

The CS120 is a quiet PC. After a quick burst of noise from the cooling fan when you power the system, the fan slows down and remains quiet while you use the system. The Atom 230 processor, which is designed for low-power usage and light-duty tasks, is...

Small-form-factor PC. Runs Windows. Quiet. Doesn't use much energy. DVD burner. Full-size 160GB hard drive

Only 1GB of RAM. No mouse or keyboard. Weak 3D graphics. Can't run most of our benchmark tests. No Internet security software included. Physically larger, so as to fit its internal components

Cheap, quiet, and power efficient, the MSI fulfills the role of Web terminal, plus it runs Windows so you can use those old programs that you must still run. Just don't expect it to keep up with your "real" desktop or laptop.

Perfect

300 range, can't be beat. Not looking to run heavy apps, just browse web, check email, process some documents. Set your expectations there and you'll be more than satisfied. *Highly* recommended.

Low cost, easy setup, decent speed, runs XP

Loud

built in wifi

It's loud, and fan is tied to processor, so it goes fast and slow which is really irritating ; can't really handle HD youtube videos

Good product, didn't really need it.

Well, I should start out by saying that I didn't really need the computer, it was actually just a project to occupy some time. Pros: External power supply was a great idea, greatly reduce the over all bulk of the machine. Liked the cable routing. Easy...

Not bad for a small box.

Not bad for a small box.

This MSI computer seems to be a good machine. I couldn't get the built in Wi-Fi to work though. Fortunately I have a Linksys /Cisco router, and I don't need the Wi-Fi on this box. It's a bit slow to boot up, but for the price it does a good job. I wish...

DOES *NOT* HAVE A DUAL CORE PROCESSOR !!

The Wind PC is ***NOT*** intended to play videos or games. How foolish can anyone be to assume so when it has a 1.6GHz single core processor ? This CPU typically uses much less than 1.0 watt of power. It is intended to be used as either a basic...

It's my Linux router-on-a-stick

Good: Small form factor, reasonably fast, lower power consumption than the micro-ATX PC that it replaced, compatible with Debian and boots from a SDHC card. Bad: Could still be smaller (the drive bays are unnecessary for my purposes). It could draw...

Gets the job done, low powered

Gets the job done, low powered

I needed something that could run 24/7 as a file server that could be occasionally used as a Desktop. While I would not recommend this as an everyday desktop, it gets the job done. Pros: Size Solid Build - High quality contruction, feels like a mini...

This thing ROCKS!

This thing ROCKS!

I work for a company that rents PC's. We needed to bring some newer, faster, smaller PC's into our fleet and this fit the bill perfect. Small and compact yet still easy to work on. We built 15 to start with and they have been out in the field 2x with...

Product Specifications

With the goal of enhancing the computing environment, the Wind Nettop Series adopts an advanced cooling technology that reduces the noise level from 30dB (average) or more to an inaudible level, a noise level quieter than that of the average computer system. It offers a true noise-free comfort even during heavy game playing or intensive computing applications. To avoid wasting earth resources and reduce environment waste, MSI Wind Nettop Series is powered by the ultra-low-power Intel Atom processors. The thermal power is only 4W which delivers a 16X reduction in power consumption compared to standard desktop processors and 9x reduction in power consumption compared to laptop processors. Save about 90% on Electricity Full Speed Operation at only 35W Built around Intel's Atom processors, the Wind Nettop Series has an excellent electronic circuit design which only consumes 35W at a full speed operation. Compared to the 300W power consumption of general desktop computer, Wind Nettop Series can save about 90% on electricity even when users use the computer for over a 24-hour period. Compared to a 300W computer, MSI Wind Nettop Series can even save so much electricity and make such a big contribution to the Earth. Everyone can buy a power-saving MSI Wind Nettop Series for long-term use. Simply turn off the high-power-consumption main computer and boot it when executing high-load applications, this will help save more energy and money. The mini compact Wind Nettop Series is very small and lightweight. Compared to standard ATX chassis, MSI Wind Nettop Series saves about 83% spaces. This highly-functional system is very space-saving; you can practically put it anywhere, on the table or bookshelf without sacrificing style. Utilized the highest performance and scalability of the 3.5-inch hard drive MSI Wind Nettop Series has a conversion volume capacity of about 4.7 liters and utilized the highest performance-price ratio of a 3.5-inch hard drive. Users who demand for high-capacity hard disk can be spared from the high price of 2.5-inch hard drive. Whether you are downloading P2P applications or networking at home, you can share your audio and video files anytime you want, all you need is Wind Nettop Series which supports a large-capacity hard-disk.
