ZOTAC ZBOX Nano VD01 Plus Review

No one does HTPCs as well as ZOTAC. Apart from graphics cards, this branch of Sapphire (the makers of AMD graphics cards) has been dabbling with mini PCs and micro-ATX motherboards for a while now. They constantly keep refreshing their line-up with new...

For a price tag of Rs.16,333, the Zbox Nano VD01 Plus does not make any sense when you have the AMD option available for a little more. Both the PCs are identical in terms of design, connectivity and build, but there's quite a big gap when it comes to...

good value for general use

Make sure to test if you buy. Mine were purchased new from here & not used or remans, so reliability maybe a little questionable with my experience, but you will have a hard time finding a better value for general purpose computing. Even with two...

Bought 2 of these last year. These are great for general purpose computing (web surfing, email, casual gaming, etc). Comes with accesories like the vesa mount, wi-fi/bluetooth card, & IR MCE remote with a seperate usb ir sensor which really adds to the...

One died after 2&1/2 weeks. Second was DOA. The one that worked for a while appeared to have a short(s) in the lower level traces in the motherboard. It kept giving me varying amounts of RAM installed but RAM was clean. Tested with memtest86+....

Not happy!

I submitted an RMA request not too long ago. I hope customer service is better than this purchase.

Great if you are willing to max out the memory, purchase a solid state drive, and somehow get your hands on a copy of Windows 7 Starter.

I could not get any version of Linux to play well with this box because of issues with the HDMI drivers. If you run any version of Windows 7 other than Starter, you will be extremely disappointed with performance. Even with Windows 7 Starter I could...

Don't waste your money

Only thing I could get to install was Ubuntu 12 and 14 server and Debian 7.4. The ethernet port would unlink itself the minute the nic was brought up.

small size and low power

RedHat Based OS won't install, they don't like the VIA cpu
