Casio Exilim Pro EX-P700

The Casio Exilim Pro EX-P700 is easy to use and offers lots of useful, fun, and quirky features.

Impressive daylight shots, broad features set, external flash connector, simple menu structure, slim profile, informative pop-up shooting tips, Best Shot Selector, included wireless remote.

Flash shots overexposed, slow performer, no RAW support, no focusable diopter, some buttons inconveniently placed, disappointing video mode.

Casio EXILIM Pro EX-P700 Review

The seven megapixel four times zoom EXILIM Pro EX-P700 was announced on 25th August 2004, it is essentially a CCD upgrade to the silver bodied six megapixel EX-P600 announced seven months earlier. The P600 and P700 are Casio's first prosumer digital...

Good resolution Low noise but high noise reduction Good automatic white balance About a third of a stop more sensitive than indicated Good performance - startup and AF notably Good build quality, compact size External flash support via PC Sync terminal...

Intrusive noise reduction Some vignetting at wide angle No RAW format USB 1.1 transfer (slow) Slower power off than on (?)

It's always nice to review a camera which surprises you, the EX-P700 was one of those cameras. I have to admit to not having great expectations of it, ok so it has a Canon branded lens (so many cameras these days do, although not all branded), but a...

Casio Exilim EX-P700

The EX-P700 is an excellent camera for a beginning enthusiast, but pros will be disappointed with the image quality and absence of RAW format.

Innovative Ex Finder ; live histogram ; Flash Assist ; Auto Macro ; unique Best Shot modes ; helpful remote control

Unimpressive image quality ; no RAW format ; low video resolution

The EX-P700 features the same innovative Ex Finder we loved in the EX-P600. It fills the 2-inch LCD with a wealth of information, including a live RGB histogram. Manual Assist screens graphically illustrate the impact of manual adjustments to aperture...

Casio EX-P700 Digital Camera Review

Building on Casio's success with the EX-P600 is the new higher resolution EX-P700. The main difference between the two models is the capture capacity, increasing the capture from 6 mega-pixels to 7 mega-pixels, now producing images at A3 size with...

Our tests in the studio of various products produced images almost as sharp as they come. We really were quite surprised at the results, which would give many higher end digital cameras a run for their money. The colour balancing options are also worth...
