Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z200 rot

The Casio Exilim EX-Z200 is a straightforward, pocket sized digital camera. It is available in black, red and silver. One of the biggest plus points is how easy it is to use. It has 10 megapixels and a 4x wide angle zoom lens.

Ease of use - widescreen movies

Photos could be sharper - build quality could go up a notch or two

The Exilim EX-Z200 is not one of my favourite pocket cameras. There are a few better ones around when it comes to picture and build quality. Taking all factors into account I think it would have to be a fair bit cheaper before I felt able to recommend ...

Picture quality - manual exposure mode

Small built in memory

A good little camera that is easy to overlook when up against some of the more prominent brands. I found it takes a good photo in most situations and offers some extra flexibility when it comes to the features it has.

Fujifilm Finepix S1000fd

The Fuji Finepix S1000fd is a 10 megapixel, super zoom digital camera. It has a 12x optical zoom lens. Advantages over other, similar digital cameras are a smaller body size and better ease of use. It is also cheaper than most of its competitors.

Easier than other super zooms - compact size for type of camera

Shot with zoom fully extended disappointing

This camera comes in more at the budget end of the super zoom spectrum. This means it does not have every bell and whistle. On the whole it does what it sets out to do quite well, but I did find the photo soft with the zoom fully extended.

Casio EXILIM EX-Z100 blau

The Casio Exilim EX-Z100 is a 10 megapixel digital camera which will slip into most pockets. It has a simple, yet pleasant design and scores well for ease of use and also shutter response. It offers widescreen movies and a YouTube capture mode.

Ease of use - widescreen movies - shutter delay times

Photos could be sharper - build quality could go up a notch or two

I had issues during my tests with the sharpness of the images I took with the Exilim EX-Z100. These may not be so apparent on smaller prints, but if you increase the size this is likely to become noticeable.
