Canon Ixus 65

This camera is compact and pocket-sized. The best feature of this camera is that it has a 3″ wide screen and usually I view the photos using the 'slideshow' feature on bus journeys, like a portable mini television, reminiscent of the memories the...

Also, my Canon has already multiple scratches on the front and they’re really obvious. (I tend to drop it now and then.) Word of caution- do buy a 3″ screen protector because I’d really hate for fingerprint marks to be on the original screen.

PC Plus review: Canon IXUS 65

Everything has its price, but even with the discounting, build and picture quality, we feel the new IXUS 65 falls behind on value and versatility.

Canon IXUS 65 review

Canon's Digital IXUS range of cameras has virtually become a byword forcombining style with performance. But with the new IXUS 65, Canon has a fight on its hands.

Canon Digital IXUS 65

The first words out of our mouth upon getting our hands on Canon's new IXUS 65 were "Canon has done it again". The newest member of Canon's lower end ...

Brilliant colour, Low Noise, Compact, Huge screen

Higher than average Chromatic Aberration, A little pricey

An impressive effort by Canon, the IXUS 65 produces solid photographs with sublimely accurate colour along with great features and design. A complete package.

Canon Ixus 65 digital camera - FIRST LOOK review

Canon has launched three new Ixus models as a part of its 2006 Spring Collection, but the Ixus 65 stands out from the crowd as it's the first canon camera to be geared towards the “gadget” crowd. So has Canon got it right? Pocket-lint was given a...

Large screen, ISO High setting

Screen not as crisp as it could have been, controls are a bit squashed

On a first look, the camera isn’t perfect, but does look promising

Canon Digital IXUS 65

It was a fair rule of thumb that you couldn't go wrong with a Canon IXUS, but has the IXUS 65 changed all that?

The 5.8-17.4mm (35-105mm equiv) f/2.8-f/4.9 lens retracts flush with the body, and the various controls are also partly recessed. The only thing that sticks out slightly is the end of the zoom control, and that’s only by a millimetre or so. Measuring...

The Canon Digital IXUS 65 shoehorns a relatively broad set of features, solid performance and great image quality into an attractive ultracompact package

Great photos ; Relatively quick ; Plenty of features ; Large LCD

Awkward zoom control ; Slightly cramped buttons ; No optical viewfinder

Canon Digital IXUS 65

Making the most of its three-inch LCD screen, the IXUS 65 lends itself to those who prefer to show off their photos immediately. An array of colour options gives the best possible chance to get the shot right first time, so you can make the most of the...

Large three-inch LCD ; Can play slideshows without a computer ; Plenty of on-camera options

Better zoom available elsewhere ; No carry case to protect the screen

If you plan on photographing many things from long distance, this may not be your ideal shooter. While we had no problem focusing the optical or digital zoom, the IXUS 65 does not have the strongest lens in the pack. In addition to this, the lever was...
