Canon PowerShot SD770 IS (black)

Almost identical to the PowerShot SD1000 it replaces, the SD770 IS brings optical image stabilization and a bump from 7- to 10-megapixel resolution to the ultracompact. It's also nearly identical to the slightly less expensive SD1100 IS : the only...

Very nice photos for the price; compact and attractive; optical image stabilization.

Some aspects of performance too slow.

A solid ultracompact, the SD770 IS nevertheless faces stiff competition from its closely priced line mates, the cheaper SD1100 IS and the better SD790 IS.

Canon PowerShot SD770 IS Digital ELPH Digital Camera - First Shots - The Imaging Resource!

The Canon PowerShot SD770 IS digital camera's classic box and circle design has characterized the Digital ELPH look for more than a decade. According to Canon, this 10-megapixel model boasts the thinnest body of any optically image stabilized ELPH...

The Canon SD770 IS Digital ELPH features a ten megapixel 1/2.3" CCD imager and a Canon-branded 3x optical zoom lens with image stabilization, which covers a fairly standard range of 35-105mm equivalent - a moderate wide angle to a moderate telephoto....

Canon PowerShot SD770 IS Review

Canon's classic box and circle takes another trip around the block in the snap-happy Canon PowerShot SD770 IS.

Simplicity, streamlined interface are appealing ; Refreshingly good ultracompact battery life ; AF performance is hard to beat ; Rugged build quality, classic good looks

Slow flash recycle times remain ; Unimpressive lens ; Sensor is a bit noisy, even at lower ISOs ; Too easy to get more camera for the money

Image quality here won't knock your socks off: a slightly weak lens, typical Canon compact processing, and so-so noise performance combined with a lack of manual controls mean most aspiring art photographers won't find the image quality or the creative...

"Great Point and Click Camera with a balance of features"

Great camera, I had mine and took about 2,500 photos with it over two years, many documenting my little one's firsts in life. I was really happy with the video quality. You can plug the camera right into your TV through the audio visual cable, which my...

Surprisingly good videos and sound capture for a camera. Great shots though you do have to mess with the exposure indoors occasionally if there isn't good lighting. Cool color swapping and accent features where you can isolate one color and the rest of

"Cover IS flimsy"

I wouldn't get this model powershot. I've owned 2 other ones before this one, and own the 780IS now, and the 770IS seems to be made cheaper than all the ones I have owned before. Pass on it if you want to save money to spend on a better quality model

Nice pictures, easy to use, small size, good battery life.

Like the article said how the cover felt like it could just snap off...well mine did, it slipped onto the table from my hands, in that small fall one of the hinges on the battery cover broke.
