Canon PowerShot S90

By (cnet.com)

Excellent control system for manual, semimanual shooting; fantastic wide-angle f2 lens; very good low-light photo quality

Performance is merely average; no HD movie mode or optical zoom while recording; a couple design miscues

As long as you're not expecting dSLR speed in a tiny body, the Canon PowerShot S90 is an excellent compact camera for advanced amateurs.

The Canon PowerShot S90 is designed for photography enthusiasts and it...

PowerShot S90

By Richard Baguley (digitalcamerainfo.com)

The Canon PowerShot S90 is a high-end point & shoot camera that takes great photos and provides great manual controls for serious shooters. The video it captures is not particularly impressive, though.

The Canon PowerShot S90 is rather expensive for a point & shoot camera at $430. But it has the performance to justify it, with the camera achieving excellent scores across most of our tests. Most point & shoot cameras do well in one test but poorly on ...

The Eagerly Anticipated Canon PowerShot S90 - A Preview

By Vijay Anand (hardwarezone.com)

Sporting the same-sized sensor as the PowerShot G11, with a uniquely designed direct control ring, a fast f/2 lens, and all housed in a compact body, the Canon PowerShot S90 is one of the most eagerly anticipated cameras this season. We snagged a ...

A larger sensor usually gives you sharper, clearer images with less noise. While a standard compact camera like the Canon IXUS 100 IS has a sensor measuring 0.435-inch diagonally, the PowerShot G11 has a sensor that is 0.588-inch diagonally (in ...

Picture quality Jpegs, Fast lens, fantastic in low light. Light, Small and Powerful. Exactly fits my needs. PIcture colors are superb better than a panasonic for me

The ring in the back can be moved easily and can affect exposures. I like a viewfinder but it's ok

Canon S90 takes great indoor pictures without a flash. This is great with a three week old grandchild with sensitive eyes. The small size makes it easy to carry in a pocket. Image quality is better than any compact camera I've ever seen

"SLR Quality in a "Point and Shoot" Camera"

By JeremyAndrews (cnet.com)

Check out the Canon Powershot S90 group on Fl...

Photo quality is awesome for a "point and shoot". Manual settings expand your options for taking different shots. Low light shots are really cool, make the photos more natural and not blasted with a flash. Want simple? Put it on AUTO and snap away

Expensive, but hey get the accidental insurance from Best Buy or where ever you purchase it and your covered. HD video would be nice, but the standard video looks great and works fine for YouTube or home movies
