When I started with this camera, I was not a fan of the touch screen feature. However, Canon has won me over with this one, thanks to a very responsive system. The images taken from the SD3500 were of excellent quality and the camera feels well built...

Great quality HD video ; 5x zoom gets in closer to the action ; 24mm wide angle extreme great for indoor photos and outdoor landscapes ; Large screen with good outdoor visibility ; Responsive touch screen ; Easy to use controls ; Cool" Bump feature

Flash is in lousy position position ; With wide angle lens, needs a panoramic scene mode ; Macro mode was not the best, lens kept getting in the way of the flash ; Average shooting performance

The Canon SD3500 takes a less-is-more approach and does away with almost all physical controls and buttons in favor of a 3.5-inch touchscreen.

The PowerShot SD3500IS has a great touch interface, a nice feature set and decent image quality, but it suffers from slow shooting performance.

I have been a big fan of Canon cameras. Owned 2 SLRs, and 6 point and shoot ones in the last 9 years. SD3500 was by far the worst ever purchase made by me. I am saddened to observe a downward quality trend of Canon products. Every camera I bought had...

Terrible picture quality. 4 out 5 photos are out of focus, incorrect WB for indoor shooting, a very long delay for the flash to recharge. And this is almost in every shooting mode: A, P, Portate, indoors, etc

"Fragile touchscreen-- Canon wont repair!"

 

After a few months, I traveled to visit my sister by plane. I kept my camera in carry-on luggage and stored it under the seat in front of me-- it was also in its carrying case. When I got to my sister's the touch screen was broken. Doesn't take photos....

I was so happy with this camera when I first purchased it. It takes great photos, has a great interface, and is sleek.
