I own a couple of excellent DSLR cameras and also a small Canon S90 which I think is a brilliant little compact - but for specific reasons I wanted a camera with a larger zoom capability to take away with me when I travel and can\'t take a larger...

Canon PowerShot SX240HS

While a few may still be wowed by huge MegaPixel, most now know it's the quality of the CMOS that gives quality of image, here you get a perfectly respectable 12.1MP and an excellent 20x optical zoom in a small form factor.

It is 10.5x6x3.5cm and weights 220grams. When on the lens can extend by up to another 5cm fully zoomed out. Mine was silver grey but it is also available in black or pink. The left side is clear, the right side has anchor point for the supplied wrist...

A great little camera

I decided to buy the SX240HS because my SX20IS is simply not a pocket camera, as a result I often don't take it with me and so miss photographic opportunities. I ordered the SX240HS from Amazon on the 12th of November, it arrived on the morning of 14th...

Great for images, but faulty sound on video

I bought this camera as a replacement for my older compact camera, to be able to take with me when I don't want the bulk of my DSLR. I prioritise image quality over 'gimmicks' and so chose this camera over equivalent models from other manufacturers...
