The 14-megapixel, 10X-optical-zoom Casio Exilim EX-H20G ($300 as of February 13, 2011) is a great little travel companion, thanks to well-implemented in-camera mapping and GPS features that make it a near-perfect pocket megazoom camera for your vacation.

Excellent in-camera GPS and mapping ; Ultra-wide-angle 24mm lens with 10X optical zoom ; Phenomenal battery life ; Green-screen-like Dynamic Photo feature ; Very good image quality in well-lit situations ; 360-degree Slide Panorama mode

No manual controls ; Mediocre macro mode ; Digital zoom only in video mode ; No burst mode

The vacation-friendly EX-H20G has a 10X-optical-zoom lens, great GPS features, and in-camera mapping. It's a top performer in daylight, but it lacks manual controls and a few key features.

Casio first revealed its hybrid-GPS concept camera in the halls of the Las Vegas Convention center a year ago at CES 2010.

Good image quality ; Effective on-board GPS ; 10x optical zoom

Some ergonomic issues ; Expensive ; Slight overexposure

At the ISO 400 setting, noise levels are noticeably higher and there's a (barely) perceptible loss of minor detail. Above ISO 400 noise levels increase exponentially.

Good GPS

 

I work in the field taking photos for reports this camera is very helpful for me to drop teh exact location where i took the phot. GPS seems very acurate and the camera came fast.
