Casio EX-S100 Digital Camera Camera

If Casio's $350 Exilim EX-S100 were better at its primary function--taking great digital photos--we'd be huge fans. It's extremely compact, beautifully designed, and easy to use. But in our formal image-quality tests, it earned an overall score that...

Nice extras not typically seen on a camera of this size include a functional manual-focus capability and white-balance calibration. This camera comes with a cradle, which you must use for charging its small lithium ion battery or for transferring...

Small, sleek, and stylish ; clear menu system with large type ; lots of scene modes, with excellent text descriptions. Pan-focus mode lets you bypass autofocus for quicker shots ; real-time histogram helps you make sure you get the best exposure. Fast...

Fuzzy photos, with unappealing color. Pricey for a 3.2MP camera and for the photo quality. No optical viewfinder

The EX-S100 is an elegant camera that's a joy to shoot with. It's the first camera to use a ceramic lens element, which has enabled Casio to make it amazingly thin. We only wish that the camera's photo quality matched its impressive looks: Our test shots

Casio Exilim EX-S100 review

Casio claims that it's the world's smallest digital camera with optical zoom and we're inclined to agree with them. Made of stainless steel, the credit card-sized EX-S100 is just two-thirds of an inch thick, has a 2-inch LCD screen and a 2.8x optical...

Casio EX-S100

The Casio Exilim EX-S100 was developed to be the flagship of the Exilim "S" series, and as such, embodies all the brand concepts. Key features of the EX-S100 include a 3.2-megapixel CCD image sensor, use of the world's first transparent ceramic lens in...

Bottom line - You couldn't ask for a more "pocketable" and durable digicam. It's stylish and built like a tank, so don't hesitate to take this silver beauty anywhere that you go short of getting it wet. And when you walk in a room and pull this bad boy ou

Casio Exilim Card EX-S100 Review

The recommended retail price of the Casio Exilim Card EX-S100 in the UK is £299.99 and in the US it is $399.99

The Casio Exilim Card EX-S100 is as about as ultra-compact as digital cameras get at the moment - if you want the ultimate in small digicams, then the EX-S100 is it. Squeezing a 2.8x optical zoom lens into such a slim camera is an amazing...

Casio EX-S100 Digital Camera Review

"Casio has raised the bar with its new and very stylish EX-S100. The stainless steel body with hints of chrome is the best looking 3.2 mega pixel camera I have reviewed to date. It is beautifully designed, with every built in feature well thought out...

Image quality on all ISO settings produced great results in daylight, where the 200 and 400 ISO settings are the only real options for indoor photography. The 400 ISO has minimal grain, which would produce more than acceptable photo print images and be...

Casio Exilim EX-S100 digital camera

The Casio Exilim EX-S100 is a tiny digital camera that fits nicely in your shirt pocket. Casio engineers have managed to squeeze in a special lens with 2.8 times optical zoom in this miniature product, along with a 3.2 megapixel image sensor.

Value for money: Casio Exilim EX-S100 is good value for money when you need a camera that you are going to carry with you at all times.

I knew it would happen someday, but not today: I finally found a camera that is too small for me to comfortably use. I have medium-large hands, and 35 years of guitar playing has made my fingers quite nimble. This little Casio, however, always felt as...

There are several lovely ultracompacts on the market these days from Canon and Sony, but I think Casio does it best

Casio Exilim EX-S100

I bought this camera for my wife about 2 years ago, and this sucker is awesome! It's a perfect pocket sized, everyday, throw-around camera. My wife usually just keeps it thrown in her purse and can whip it out whenever one of our kids is doing...

Product Specifications

How fast is really fast? The EXILIM Card EX-S100 has a shutter speed of 0.01 second after successful focusing. Which means there is little that is fast enough to escape you! Changing between the normal focus and the macro range is really fast - with the Auto Macro function. The macro region, i.e. the close-up region of the EX-S100, comprises distances between 17cm and 50cm. Before each photo, the camera measures the distance to the motif and automatically sets the right focal range. Every picture is thus crystal-clear, even close up to important details. With the development of the world's first ceramic lens CASIO makes digital photography more compact than ever before. The special advantages of the ceramic material: high stability, high coefficient of refraction and the property that it can be manufactured and installed in a size much smaller than that of glass. Only in this way, for example, is it possible to integrate a 2.8x Zoom in the extremely flat EXILIM Card EX-S100. BESTSHOT functions are practically pre-settings for different motifs and lighting conditions. The EXILIM Card EX-S100 offers 23 BESTSHOT modes. You can also create, store and call up your own modes with BESTSHOT at any time. New: 2 integrated Business Shot programs for distortion-free reproduction of business cards and projection charts. For flash photos, the background often remains too dark and the motif is not fully illuminated. The solution: Flash Assist. With this function, the brightness of the motif is automatically enhanced.
