Casio Exilim EX-Z300

The Z300's front is almost completely flat, barring two small ridges, that look like a piece of paper folded then unfolded. One of these two crimps is located at the top right, just beneath the zoom control, the other runs horizontally across the...

I rate myself as a beginner only because the rest of the ratings suggest a "photographer" bent (I have been taking family and vacation photos for decades). I bought this camera based on price, size, then quality output (I'm cheap). I wanted something...

It now accompanies my cell phone (mobile for the Brits) and wallet. I'm goint to have to get a purse soon. This won't go over well on the construction sight

The following is from a beginners point of view after 3 months of ownership. Pro's: The battery is fantastic, I've used similar ultra-compact Canon's and I'd guess that battery lasts nearly double the amount of time. As long as you obey the correct...

Con's ; Digital zoom isn't much good. Although for a camera this size 3x optical zoom is about as good as you'll get so this isn't a real complaint ; Full wide angle (35mm equivalent) gives moderate to heavy barrel distortion(blurry in the corners)....

Just bought this camera yesterday as a secondary to my Canon A80 and I've already taken a few dozen photos. Boy this is a fast camera! Just click and shoot. Boom! picture taken. That's one of the primary reasons I got it. It's a much faster "snapshot"...

Image sharpness could be a little better, but this is exactly what I expected in such a small camera

I bought the Casio EXILIM EX-Z30 after assessing and comparing it with the coolpix 4100. I chose this due to its increadible ease of use, simple method of selecting type of shot and lighting conditions etc. On top of this it is a gorgeous looking...

The only problem with this camera is a personal one, the docking station- i dont need extra bits and bobs

Its a fantastic camera and ease of use. I've compared it with Canon and Fuji during the IT Show, but I decided to get this 3.2 Megapixel camera instead. It look good when in the Cradel while charging or downloading of images. The large 2.0-inch TFT LCD...

Product Specifications

This EXILIM ZOOM model incorporates the 'EXILIM Engine', a newly developed compact image-processing module with a 3 layer Stack MCM, which achieves high picture quality and quick response using a 1.8V low-power system. This makes the camera's compact dimensions possible and at the same time have a battery life 2.5 times that of previous models, it also enables users a to capture stunning 360 photos a single battery charge. Thanks to the EX-Z30's unrivalled processing speed, streamed movie clips with sound can also be captured, compared with previous models limit of 30 or 60 second clips. Budding moviemakers can now capture memorable events and the only limitation is the capacity of their memory card. When photos need to be taken in a hurry, the EXILIM ZOOM model uses Auto Pan Focus mode with one rapid push of the shutter button, removing the need to wait for auto focus, and capturing pin sharp fast moving targets. In combination with the approximate 1.6-second high-speed start up time and approximate 0.01-second release time lag, the features of these cameras allow for even faster, more satisfying photography. The camera has 21 built-in BESTSHOT scenes. Selecting a BESTSHOT scene automatically changes the setup of the camera to the setting required to record an image similar to the sample scene. Other impressive features include the large 2.0-inch TFT LCD screen and the Direct On function for one-touch record and play modes. In addition to being USB DIRECT-PRINT compliant for direct connection to printers, the EX-Z30 is compatible with the PictBridge and PIM II standards. A combination of outstanding design, portability and high performance has put the EXILIM ZOOM range at the forefront of the market trend for compact, stylish and thinner digital cameras and now CASIO have responded to the demand for a longer battery life.
