Casio QV-3000EX Review

Casio managed to be the first manufacturer to announce a 3 megapixel digital camera, beating Canon with their S20 by two days. Back in January it was to open the floodgates of 3 megapixel digital cameras into the market. The camera had good...

Casio QV-3000EX

Casio has come a long way from the days of the QV-10. This was probably the first digital camera I ever used (perhaps I used an Apple Quicktake first), and by current standards, it was terrible. I admit to warning people away from Casio's cameras for...

The QV-3000EX is a solid-feeling, slightly heavy camera, that fits well in your hand. Both hands have a place to rest, without blocking anything important. Nose smudges on the LCD are only a problem for those who are left-eye dominant. The lens is...

Casio QV-3000EX Plus

It wasn't exactly love at first sight when we started testing the Casio QV-3000EX Plus (AU$1999). The large camera has a big mid-section and a funny-looking viewfinder and sensor window.

MAXIMISE your storage!

I was gifted Casio's QV-3000EX 3.34 Megapixel digital camera about two years ago for my birthday (by a rich uncle) when it was just released in the market. To me, this seemed like the perfect choice. Even though it cost my uncle a fortune, I don't ...

Feature-rich ; offers lot and lots of storage

Bulky design ; complex controls

Nice pictures but...

I like HAVING the microdrive, it gives me quite a bit of space and I can use an adapter to plug it directly into my laptop. The problem is that the microdrive seems to give the camera a mind of it's own. You can't just shut it off or just take a...

Great pictures, lots of storage.

Lots of delay. It uses way too much time to take and save a picture.

Good camera, but don't pay more than 500.

This is my first and only digital camera. It takes excellent pictures, and is extremely easy to use. Unfortunately, those are the only outstanding things about the camera. The features are so-so, but don't compare to a Mavica. The zoom is average,...

Excellent picture quality, feels like a real camera, unlike some digitals. 3.34 megapixels non-interlaced.

Battery life is short, and I've had problems with the flash card door.

Awesome Camera

We looked for a digital camera for evidence purposes for our state investigation department. We looked at several types of camera, and then were shown the Casio. The microdrive sold us. The ability to take over 100 high quality photos is fantastic....

Microdrive is great, large number of pixels, and normal feel to the camera

No USB support for Windows NT, screen position get nose prints on it.

YOU'LL LOVE THIS CAMERA!

This camera is...AWESOME!!! Don't be put off from buying this camera just because of the few bad comments out there. I myself have found NOTHING wrong with this camera (of course I have the same old gripe about the batteries...). Just get an AC adapter...

Pictures are CLEAR and colors are quite VIBRANT! Awesome camera!!

No such thing with this camera!

A leader, but not in price

This camera sneaks up on the rest of the 3.3 MP group, with superb pictures, 3x optical and 2x digital lens. It handles 340 MB IBM microdrives, or huge Compact flash cards. Menu is easy to read, brightly lit, and simple to zip through to your needs and...

Quality Canon lens, great pictures, quality build and feel.

Modest to short battery life.
