Nikon Coolpix S4300First Impressions Review

The Nikon S4300 is a mid-range point-and-shoot in Nikon's 2012 lineup, sacrificing some of the zoom range of the slightly more expensive S6300, but adding a 3-inch touchscreen and a variety of stylish colors to choose from. The S4300 still maintains a...

The Nikon S4300 provides an interesting alternative to the rest of Nikon’s 2012 point-and-shoot lineup. At a suggested price of just $169.99 it comes in at $30 less than the Nikon S6300, includes a 6x optical zoom, touchscreen operation, and 3-inch...

Nikon Coolpix S4300 Preview

Nikon's second-most affordable new S-series camera is the Coolpix S4300. It costs only $30 more than an S3300, but comes with a much larger 3.0" LCD screen that is also a touch screen to easy access to your images and all menu functions. But if going...

Nikon CoolPix S4300

The Nikon CoolPix S4300 is a nice, affordable camera with a steep learning curve. Once you've learned the camera's special quirks, you'll be able to take beautiful, crisp pictures. However, to get to that level, you'll need to dedicate an extended...

Outdoor pictures turn out great with beautiful and crisp colors

Shutter lag while taking indoor pictures causes major blur and distortion

Once you've had time to adjust to the Nikon CoolPix S4300's quirks, you'll be able to take fantastic pictures worth printing and framing.

Only Good in Well Lit Areas

My boyfriend got me this Camera for my birthday through New Egg and I was super excited about getting a new camera (mine had been stolen last Christmas along with my purse). I took it to my sister's wedding 5 days later and attempted to use the...

If using in well lit areas or outdoors, it works good ; Compact and very slim

Party/Indoor mode doesn't work ; In poorly lit areas, pictures come out like 1.5 megapixel ; Camera changes settings on it's own, and turns off flash on its own ; Sometimes battery does not last long

Worked ok at best, but then got worse

Sent the camera in for warranty repair, and wanted to bill be $107 bucks. Had the camera for 5 months. They "claimed" it was dented on the bottom, but it's just scratches... Last time I'm buying another Nikon product. It's a shame. Just stay away from...

It's plum color

Zoom stopped working, piece on the back of the camera came off.. was held in place with tape. Pictures were only ok, a lot of blurry pics
