Great Camera For The Money!

I had an Olympus water resistant camera I bought eight years ago, which I used all that time, as a Professional Real Estate person, and for personal use. I got really used to it ; Recently I realized that it was time to update. I knew I had to get a...

No view finder. Of course, the sound is, well, ok. If you don't catch the single shot image in the right light without adjusting manual settings, the picture can come out a little grainy. Occasionally, I do notice a slight little bit of fisheye effect,...

Fantastic

After playing trial and error for my first several point and shoots, this one easily tops the list. Yes, better than the <$200 Canon, Sony, Olympic, etc. You won't be disappointed here. 5* reviews across the board

Just a simple update to my review. I should have mentioned that editing software that supports Apple Quick T will work for editing your video. Example, I have the lastest Ver. of Quick T installed on my computer so all I really have to do is drop the...

The included software from Panasonic is shall we say lessthan desirable

great little camera

definitely a good value.

bought this for my wife. Very easy to figure out. Didn't even need the manual. fits in a pocket with room to space. picture look very good. take pictures fairly fast. got it on sale with a carrying case and 4gb card

the 4gb card is junk, but since it was free no big deal. the pictures can be a little grainy depending on the lighting conditions. the camera does feel a little more fragile then i would like but my wife will be a lot more delicate than i would

Its to bad xp does not support 'editing' mp4 files in windows movie maker or you would not need programs like mp4cam2avi and ffdshow etc. . Make sure you determine your needs and how you are going to process your pic or video to make sure you have a...

16m, clear, sharp pic, easy to learn, 10x opt focus and the auto function works quite well. When I create either a slide show or video using Sony Vegas software I generally tweek pic in photoshop. Not much tweaking required with this camera. Just copy...

Like I said above, not a fan of mp4 yet but am learning more each day. You have to download the user manual from Panasonic. No problem but would like to have a manual that could fit in a small camera case. A extra batt is a must

Gets the job done

I take hundreds of pictures in an indoor environment with good lighting and Eye-Fi to wirelessly send the pictures directly to a server. Overall, this camera gets the job done without spending too much fiddling with it.

Works as advertised. Takes good pictures

It does not come with a wall charger. You have to plug a USB cable directly to the camera. If you get spare batteries, this is a hassle to use the camera as a charger ; LCD resolution is low for 3" display. When previewing, you see aliased lines on the...

Absolutely hate this camera. After 3 Kodak Easyshare cameras, this one was totally not user friendly, hard to download, edit, and then couldn't find it in my computer to download pics to another site! Am returning this piece of junk

Great Camera For Non Professionals

In the Steve's Digicam review, http://www.steves-digicams.com/camera-reviews/panasonic/lumix-dmc-sz1/panasonic-lumix-dmc-sz1-review.html The mention of the "missing" three iA (Intelligent Auto) modes is actually something I will NOT miss. I rather be...

Photography has always been a interest of mine ; So I wanted something I could understand, but powerful enough to take high quality photos ; One feature I like is that the ISO can go way past 400 ; The features have improved but have not changed...

As someone else said, I will have to get use to no more viewfinder. It was just something I got use to having ; But the 3" LCD screen should compensate for not having one

Excellent Camera Series

On a different model, the sensor developed a 'dark spot' and put it out of commission for real picture taking. But that was years after use and time for an upgrade.

The Panasonic wide angle cameras are extremely good and very cost effective. The wide angle lens is a must. For example, in real estate pictures, it's the difference between a natural view of an entire room, or a picture of a bland corner. These...

Make sure you get a model with image stabilization, as I've had a 10MP model without it and you had to be perfectly still to get a clear image
