Kodak Easyshare Max Z990 Digital Camera

The point and shoot camera market is dominated by the likes of Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, and many other commercial brands. Kodak is a brand, mainly known for their imaging materials like photogra

The Kodak Easyshare Max Z990 sells at a market operating price Rs. 17,000. This is a really good camera and does well in the build department. The camera also offers very good shots, and the zoom is really good. Kodak has really stepped up their game...

Kodak EasyShare Max Digital Camera Review

The Kodak EasyShare Max is an aggressively-priced ultrazoom that still seeks to deliver all the performance of this segment's leaders. But a few design missteps and technical limitations leave this camera feeling constrained. The interface's slow...

Fancy ultrazoom technology merges with painless shooting. Inspiration and creativity are the only necessities, not technical know-how. That’s the concept, right? That's the “Easy” part?

Kodak EasyShare Max Z990 Review

You can't accuse the Kodak EasyShare Max of coming up short on zoom power.

Good image quality ; Fast burst shooting ; Wide zoom range

Slow shot-to-shot time ; Short battery life ; Quirky auto panorama

Even ISO 1600 produces a fairly good image. Image quality is much worse at the very high ISO settings of 3200 and 6400 but they could be useful in when no other shot is possible.

Maxell’s Encore EN-5 offer a rich, full sound for an affordable price, beating out nearly all of the headphones in the test. However, our testers didn’t think they were very comfortable, nor did this pair do a good job staying put during use....

Sharp images in good light. Huge, 30x zoom lens. Electronic viewfinder. Manual controls. Lots of art filters and sharing options. Shoots 1080p video

Poor low-light performance. Very large for a compact camera. Slows down under heavy use. Autofocus was slow and unreliable in tests. Flimsy-feeling build

The Kodak EasyShare Max Z990 offers plenty of goodies including a long 30x zoom lens, manual controls, an electronic viewfinder, and 1080p video capture. But sluggish operation and poor low-light performance make this huge compact camera a tough sell.

Excellent Camera for its Class (bridge cameras)

This Kodak Z990 delivers more than what I expected at a very competitive price. Kodak Z990 offered the best price/performance and feature ratio - at a certain price level.

Great fast zoom up to 30x optical (I don't use continuous AF) ; Zoom is quiet (did not hear it in movie mode) ; Videos are high quality, not grainy/jumpy - my kids were quite surprised at the difference compared to older Canon SD750, SD1000 and Olympus

Unable to use filters. Filters are very important as it protects the lens ; Camera errors when lens cap is not removed when on ; Battery compartment cover unwieldy to close sometimes ; Navigation in interface not as simple and intuitive. There is a le

A nice surprise. Amazing images. A few quirks.

Value wise, this camera deserves a five star rating. It has it's quirks but truly shooting amazing photos and video. Frankly was was reluctant to buy Kodak but decided to give it a try after reading a few positive reviews of this model. It's not for a...

Photo quality is up there with some of the best digital camera I have seen. Versatile; I take a lot of photo in different conditions - sports, night, indoor, events - and it works well. Very good low-light results. Surprisingly rugged too; it got hit by a

The internal computer processing can bog down when using some of the more demanding features; like rapid sports shots (9 FPS) there will be a delay (3 to 6 sec ) before you get use back. Also happens right after shooting HD video. Battery life is good wit

Good Bridge Camera

The cons I can live with, as the camera does what's important for me. For instance, the slow button response (eg. burst, macro and timer buttons on top) are used mostly in landscape and portrait situations, when I'm not in too much of a hurry. For...

Size, weight, and feel of camera. Solid SLR-like build, yet not as heavy ; General image quality (for point-and-shoot category) is quite good ; High Dynamic Range (HDR) feature and low-light imaging are amazing (with a steady hand or tripod of course). S

no auto-rotation of images or even capacity to rotate images at all (that I have found) ; no manual focus ring ; some slow button response, as I have read in other reviews ; slower processing for more involved functions. (Don't get a cheap SD card
