Epson PhotoPC L-410

This 4-megapixel camera feels bulky compared to other point-and-shoot cameras in its class. But at half the price of comparable models, it's a bargain that takes very good pictures.

Small LCD ; mediocre video quality ; no rechargeable battery ; bulky

Designed for pointing and shooting, you'll find few scene modes in the L-410-just Normal, Landscape, and Portrait-and manual mode is limited to exposure compensation (which you set from a menu), ISO (sensitivity is 80 to 200 ISO in automatic mode and...

Epson makes some of the very best printers and scanners in the world, but they are not exactly known as a digital camera company. In fact, if you go to the Epson website you find exactly one digital camera listed there. This one, the PhotoPC L-410....

I should mention that when we first received the PhotoPC L-410, it carried a retail price of US$399. At that price I would have never recommended this camera. It simply didnât offer enough. You can get much more competent cameras with more megapixels...

As far as power goes, the L-410 uses a single Lithium CR-3V cell, or you can use two AAs of any kind. Unfortunately, there isn't a retainer, so when you open the battery compartment to, say, take out the SD Card, the battery can fall out and wipe out...

Paid 108 dollars which sounded very good for a 4 megapixel camera but end up disappointed with quality. No RCA video out, poor video quality, drains rechargeable batteries fast, problems focusing at short distance.

Good price, easy connection to XP computer

This camera is a wonderful toy. I got it for a couple reasons, first off the price, $115 shipped and everything. Second its a four megapixel camera. Third, the size just appeals to me. Last reason it has a SD expansion slot. My gateway laptop has a 4...

Purchased the unit for $105 which included S&H. It has a faster start-up than my Sony DSC-P72, and I love the continuous photo mode at 3 pics/sec. Purchased the 512 meg SD card on sale for $30 with tax at Staples. It takes acceptable pics & videos for...

Value price, Good image, Intuitive controls

Flimsy case (cheap plastic feel), Poor documentation

When I saw the $80 price for a 4mp camera with a 1/2.5" CCD, video w/sound, manual overrides, AA battery and SD card compatibility, I ordered it without doing any research and was deeply disappointed in the quality of the image it produced. I compared...

Compact, easy to use, video w/sound, bright viewfinder, pretty flashing led's, and manual overrides

Poor image quality, quick battery drain
