Lots of nice features to recommend it, if it weren't for severe performance issues

Strong color accuracy; Quality SLR-style handling

Lousy noise performance; Awful resolution results

Fujifilm FinePix HS20 EXR

The Fujifilm HS20 EXR is a 16 Megapixel super-zoom with a 30x stabilised lens and a 3in articulated flip-up LCD screen. Launched in January 2011, the FinePix HS20 EXR replaces the HS10. A brand new back-illuminated CMOS EXR sensor increases the...

24mm wide angle and manual zoom ring ; Unique EXR modes reduce noise or boost DR ; 1080p HD video ; RAW shooting ; Wide range of burst shooting modes

Manual barrel zoom not ideal for movies ; Sluggish autofocus ; Relatively large and heavy ; Poor High ISO quality at full 16MP resolution

Fujifilm FinePix HS20 EXR Review

Fujifilm thinks it can replace your heavy, bulky DSLR with its FinePix HS20. Sure, the HS20 packs a 30x optical zoom punch and offers continuous shooting at 8 fps.

Good image quality ; Nice manual zoom lens ; RAW shooting option

Slow to power up ; Some misses with AF ; DSLR-like size, weight

Fujifilm Finepix HS20 EXR

The Finepix makes a strong case for itself; you get a 16-megapixel sensor, a tilt-capable LCD and a long range zoom lens

While you can buy cheaper SLRs the Finepix HS20 EXR scores points for its superb zoom lens and well-rounded overall performance.

I've had mine for 10 days now and I just love it. It's perfect for my needs, great wide angle which is a few mm more than most. Love the tilting screen for low down shots and the electronic spirit level is a great idea. Only negatives I can see are 1) the

great camera doesn't make a great photogapher and I'd suggest that anyone finding the image quality poor either is doing something wrong (lighting set-up etc.) or, has a faulty machine
