A tough point-and-shoot camera that will go the distance when it comes to light outdoor activities.

The Exilim Card EX S10 is Casio's latest slim line point-and-shoot camera and the firm even claims it's the slimmest 10.1-megapixel camera in the world.
Its slim body and low noise capabilities make it great for party-goers but it can also deal with everything else as well.

BenQ's DC X800 is the least expensive digital camera in this grouptest. However, low cost doesn't automatically mean value-for-money, so does the DC X800 have the sterner stuff to outdo the other models here?

The EasyShare M1033 is one of Kodak's latest digital cameras and shares a number of features with the older M883, which was released back in 2007.
The Kodak offers great video and still image captures and a user-friendly interface. The lack of TV out is a counterpoint though.

The Lumix FX36 was released earlier in the year and is the replacement to the FX33, which Panasonic released last year.
The FX36's wide angle lens and 10-megapixel sensor produce great photos but the lack of manual controls is a major drawback.

Canon's 'IXUS' camera line has a long and distinguished past and the 90 IS camera is one of the newer models that was launched alongside the IXUS 85 IS and IXUS 970 IS (the latter of which is the top-end model).
If you can deal with the camera's wheel and can stomach its price, the IXUS is one of the top performers here in terms of photo quality.
