Nikon Coolpix L110 (Red)

It's really pretty amazing what Nikon is able to offer on the Coolpix L110. For the same MSRP as 2009's L100 ($279.95) , Nikon retains that model's wide-angle lens with 15x zoom and sensor-shift image stabilization, but increases the camera resolution...

Excellent features for its price; easy operation.

Poor low-light photo quality; long shutter lag.

The Nikon Coolpix L110 definitely offers a lot for the money, but it still has the photos and shooting performance of an entry-level point-and-shoot.

Nikon L110

Ordinarily the Nikon L110 can focus on subjects as close as one foot, but in macro mode this range is reduced to just 0.4 inches. Importantly, given the reach of the zoom lens, the Coolpix L110 does include true mechanical image stabilization --...

Solid wide-angle lens, ranging to a long telephoto ; Big textured grip ; Good control layout ; 3-inch LCD screen with 460K pixels ; Sensor-shift stabilization ; Good job with color ; Very little barrel distortion ; Good shutter lag test results ; 720p...

Very slow response ; Limited photo adjustments ; No EVF ; Does not accept SDXC cards ; Fuzzy macro details ; Door hinges seem flimsy ; Auto flash produced overexposed shots ; At ISO 800 and above luminance noise and noise suppression do their damage ;...

Remember my earlier Porsche/Ford analogy? The Nikon Coolpix P100 is such a superior camera to the L110, it's ridiculous. I know there's a $100 price differential but this is one C-note well worth spending. Read my Nikon P100 review and you'll...

Nikon Coolpix L110 Review

Nikon Coolpix L110 reviewed by ConsumerSearch, which notes pros and cons, along with reviews and ratings for the Nikon Coolpix L110 and comparisons to other Digital Cameras (Ultra-Zoom)

Generous 15x zoom lens; Zoom works in movie mode; Dedicated movie button; Bright LCD display

Limited manual settings; Mixed image quality

Nikon Coolpix L110

The Nikon Coolpix L110 is a 12.1-megapixel superzoom camera with a 15x optical zoom equivalent to 28-420mm on a 35mm camera. While a 15x zoom isn't quite at the top of the superzoom food chain today, two or three years ago that was about the best you...

I enjoyed the Nikon L110 even if it did lack some of the more common shooting modes. The L110 is not the camera to knock your socks off with magnificent image quality. If you are looking for a top-tier superzoom, I recommend that you pony up and shell...

"Great camera WHEN IT WORKS"

My next camera will be anything BUT Nikon. The quality is not up to the standards I have come to expect from Nikon, and they do not seem to be able to correct the problem to my satisfaction. I will pay for this repair, but when it quits again it goes...

Easy to use, good pictures, loaded with great features

Mine was returned for service after it quit, giving me a lens cap error message. After I got it back it worked ok for a while, then started the same thing. It is now out of warranty and I have to pay for the repair they didn't get right 1st time.

"You get what you pay for." The L24 is an acceptable alternative to buying a reloadable film camera and scanning the shots, but only just. My phone's camera takes equivalent or better photos, and that's just borderline embarrassing. If I had it all to...

First and foremost, "Cheap." Big monitor, every once in the while takes an exceptional shot... runs on AAs. Connects to PC seamlessly as a drive

Consistently refuses to take good pictures. Slow focus with eternal hunting. Zero manual control over camera settings outside of preset modes, and the preset modes invariably take a bad shot the first 3-5 tries (usually until you fix the poor flash preset

The camera is great for outdoor pictures.

Great outdoor pictures ; Great video recording ; Great close up pictures ; Nice wide lense

No rechargeable batteries. Eats up 4x AA batteries quickly ; Flash is very bright therefore had to play with settings to get the right balance ; Takes terrible pictures unless you use the flash ; A little bulky & heavy for a point & shoot
