Nikon Coolpix L120 (Black)

Editors' note: Several of the design, features, and shooting options are identical between the Nikon Coolpix L120 and the Coolpix L110 we reviewed earlier, so readers of the earlier review may experience some déjà vu when reading the same sections below.

The Nikon Coolpix L120 offers a wide, long lens, AA batteries for power, and simple operation at a reasonable price.

The L120 has mediocre photo quality above ISO 200.

As long as you have plenty of light, the Nikon Coolpix L120 is a nice camera for snapshooters in love with long lenses.

"For the class, it is hard to beat"

For the class and price range, this is a great camera. Comparing it to $1000+ cameras is unfair, but CNET seems to like to do these things. I didn't want a "purse phone". I have no need to put my camera next to my tampons. I wanted a camera I can hold...

Large LCD viewer, great auto detection , AA batteries

No "to the eye" viewer.

The L120 - an excellent camera for price/photo quality.

In my opinion the measure of any camera is the image. I have been using a Canon point-and-shoot for 3 years and have been pleased with the photos. My new Nikon L120 has kicked up the image quality several notches. Using the optical zoom only...images...

Easy to use right out of the box; nice photo quality - color saturation and detail; good optical zoom; nicely weighted; intuitive options

Afraid that the disk storage/battery door access is weak and may break after extended use; digital zoom is marginal

"Excellent ! mine's was a Christmas gift"

if You're looking for something to "HOLD" in your hands, instead the mini and micro cameras, besides, it's a "point and shot" camera, nothing sofisticated, really ease to use. If You want to work with the zoom (21X) then You'll need a tripod.

The body, I love the "professional camera look"

it's fully automatic

"Pros and Cons, Mostly Cons"

I reluctantly purchased this camera despite the reviews being all over the place. I must say that if you are patient and are not using the zoom very much that the camera is not that bad; however why would one purchase a camera that has its features...

Good entry-level bridge camera for close still shots

Blurry pics when using zoom at any distance. Slow focus time. Slow reload time.

"Thoroughly enjoying this camera!!"

I'm no professional but I wanted a quality camera that made my candids look fantastic. I didn't want to spend too much money on a camera I wouldn't know how to use without taking a class. I'm thankful this camera was an optionfor me. So far it's...

The features hae been very easy to manouver with minimal practice. My photos are turning out great! I am in love with the quality of my distance shots and the speed at which it focuses when zooming in.

The only con so far is that if I try to take a close shot without using the "close up" feature, a shadow is cast on the bottom of the photo because the lense is longer than the flash is tall. I need to get the book out to figure out how to increase the sh
