Nikon Coolpix L20 Point-and-Shoot Camera Review - PCWorld

Great image quality for the price

A bit bulky

For value, ease of use, looks, and image quality, the Coolpix L20 is one of the best bargain point-and-shoots we've seen.

Nikon Coolpix L20 Digital Camera Review

Nikon's line of Coolpix digital cameras are known for great quality and decent prices. This digital camera review and buying guide will let you know what the new Coolpix L20 has to offer and if it lives up to its expectations in terms of quality to price.

The Nikon COOLPIX L20 is a 10 Megapixel compact with a 3.6x optical zoom and a 3in LCD screen. It's aimed at point-and-shoot photographers and priced at the budget end of the compact market - indeed it's one of the cheapest big-brand cameras you can buy.

Inexpensive, attractive and well-made ; Very simple to use ; Fast flash with long range ; AA batteries

No image stabilisation ; Slow to start up ; Limited shooting information on screen ; No manual ISO setting

Review: Nikon Coolpix L20 digital camera

Nikon's Coolpix L20 is a great representative of a growing category of cameras: very affordable, easy-to-use point-and-shoots with surprisingly stellar image quality and a bit of fashion sense.

Although the 10-megapixel Coolpix L20’s image stabilization system is software based, it did a great job of capturing clear, unblurred images—even when I shook it around vigorously while taking a photo or zoomed in to the maximum capacity of the 3.6x...

Nikon Coolpix L20

I bought a Canon Elph and replaced the Nikon Coolpix L20. It takes better pictures. I will not buy another Nikon product.

Uses AA Batteries, don't have to worry about recharging batteries when on a trip. Large LCD screen

Software supplied is not compatible with Windows 2000, you can't download pictures from the camera. I contacted Nikon and they told me that they do not have drivers for Windows 2000, that I should try using a memory card reader and to contact the...

In early August the camera stopped working and I sent it in to Nikon for repair. They claim it had corrosion in it and would not fix the camera. I do live on the Gulf Coast and we have a lot of humidity and rain, but I have never had any problems...

The size and the fact that camera uses AA batteries makes it easy to manage

It does have a bit of a delay in dark places but over all I was pleased with the camera for the price

Our overall evaluation depends on what they decide. If they stand behind their warranty and their own instructions they told us over the phone, then we will rate this product higher. If not, all of our friends will hear about it not to mention more...

outdoor picture quality good for the price

Nikon Service - they said we could return the product if it broke in the first year. It just before a year ran out. They said send it in without any rush and they would replace it. By the time they received it, processed it and got back to us more than...

Very good camera for the money. Optics are superior to other brands I have used in the past. I have used Nikon cameras in the past and this one does not disappoint.

Nikon quality. Good lens and low light photos

Flash has limited focal length in dark light situations
