Very good for the money

 

I have been using film SLR Nikons for the last 40 years and DSLRs for the last five years. However, in 2009 I needed a small camera that was able to share resources with my other devices, I mean: memory chips and bateries and took reasonable pictures....

Just what I expected...

 

I bought the Nikon Cool Pix L23 in Manila, Philippines as I needed a P&S camera after my Nikon P300 was stolen at a local shopping mall. I wanted a camera that was the least expensive name brand model to tide me over for a few more days of my holiday....

Choose an other camera

 

When light conditions are not perfect the image may get blurred and even with vibration reduction the image gets blurred often. Sometimes it happens in bright sunlight too, autofocus is also slow. I couldn't find how to set to autorotate images...

Well worth the money

 

The Nikon Coolpix L23 was a birthday gift for my wife. She loves the fact that it is compact, easy to use, operates on normal batteries and seems to have very good image stabilization. The only downside we have noticed is, as pointed out in other...

pretty good almost all

 

The camera is fantastic! and I'm happy with it. All the stuff are pretty good too, but just the Padded Carrying Case is too small to carrying the camera. It's okay for batteries, and the other stuff, but not for the camera. I had to buy another case...

Nikon Coolpix L23 review

 

We don't see many compact cameras like the L23 these days, with its AA batteries and bulbous body to accommodate them. Then again, not many cameras are this cheap. Bear in mind that rechargeable batteries aren't included when weighing up this camera...

A seriously low price, but with disappointing automatic exposures and no way to adjust settings, you get what you pay for.
