Nikon Coolpix P330

The Nikon Coolpix P330 pocket camera is capable of producing some truly outstanding images, but may be too slow for some shooters.

Very small for a 1/1.7-inch sensor camera. Sharp lens. Impressive images through ISO 1600. Raw shooting support. Wide aperture when zoomed out. Built-in GPS

Sluggish performance. Extreme distortion at widest angle in Raw mode. In-camera battery charging. Finicky power button

On paper the Nikon Coolpix P330 ($379.95 direct) is an impressive pocket camera. It's got a 12-megapixel image sensor with a 1/1.7-inch design, larger in surface area than those in other compacts in this price range. The lens opens up all the way up to...

Nikon Coolpix P330 Review

The Coolpix P330 is built to perform - it's packed with features for the serious photography who doesn't want to lug a dSLR. With RAW mode shooting, a fast full-resolution burst mode, and high overall image quality as well as good low-light...

High image quality ; Fast burst modes ; Powerful built-in flash ; Sturdy body ; Can shoot in RAW mode ; Lots of features ; Good low-light performance ; Lens-shift vibration reduction ; Built-in GPS ; Records high-quality 1080p HD video

Auto focus isn't always exact ; Some barrel distortion at edges at wide angle ; Modest zoom magnification ; Flash doesn't work in burst mode

Nikon Coolpix P330

Nikon's answer to the Powershot-S falls short of greatness.

Canon can relax: their Powershot S has nothing to worry from Nikon's P330. Despite its promising specs, the P330 just doesn't come together in a way that makes a lot of sense. In other reviews, we've made a big deal of the way smartphones have all but...

Nikon Coolpix P330 Review

A biggish 15mm CMOS sensor, moderate pixel count plus a fast f1.8 lens leads to a surprisingly high performance in such a moderately-priced camera.

great little camera

I've been using a dslr for several years, and purchased a Nikon s3000 a few years ago just for the portability. I found I was using the s3000 more than the dslr, but wasn't satisfied with the quality of the larger prints (> 8x10)...yes, I still make...

Might be the biggest bang for the buck

Slower than the competition to lock focus when shooting indoors at night but the flash does a vey nice job. Auto white balance is very good in most situations. The FN button is best used for ISO changes.

Excellent Image Quality ; High quality movies ; Larger Sensor ; lots of control ; Pocketable And Lightweigh ; Reasonably Priced ; Very Good Awb

Slow Raw Writing ; Slow To Lock On Focus
