Despite its other features, the projection capability of the S1000pj really makes you ask why. There is plenty of capacity right now to send digital copies of whatever you need around to your friends, so would you really feel the need to subject them ...
Digital Camera with Projector, 12.1 Megapixel, Image stabilization, 5x zoom lens
Ever felt the immediate need to reminisce after taking some holiday...
When Nikon released the S1000pj, we were stoked about having a projector grafted to a traditional digital camera. When we put it to the test, the camera did a decent job but was definitely, ahem, outshone by its luminous counterpart.
The projector feature is Yuri Gagarin-stellar. Pictures were pretty good in most situations without having to adjust a lot of settings
Low-light pictures are a struggle, especially if the ISO has to be raised. Camera is heavy and bulky. Novel feature means early adopter price tag

A must have for today's On-the-Go family
What a great camera for the busy family and so much fun for the holiday - where the friends/family can share photo without booting up the PC or unplug/plug into a TV... although the size, resolution and lighting is limited, but the convenience outweight...

Nikon's revolutionary new COOLPIX S1000pj combines 12.1 effective megapixels and a 5x wide-angle Zoom-NIKKOR lens with the world's first camera with an ultra-small built-in projector. The COOLPIX S1000pj combines Nikon's 4-way Optical VR Image Stabilization system and an incredible bright, high-resolution 2.7-inch LCD for getting sharp, clear pictures. The COOLPIX S1000pj features Nikon's Smart Portrait System, with Smile Shutter, that enables you to get great portraits, with a touch of the...
