Very small, lightweight; easy to operate; inexpensive.

Inconsistent autofocus; poor low-light photos.

The Nikon Coolpix S3000 is an attractive inexpensive ultracompact that's a step above your average camera phone.

Nikon Coolpix S3000 review

Not everyone's a camera geek. Unless you're cavorting around with a DSLR, most people simply want a camera that can take decent photos (translation: it doesn't look like it came from a cellphone) without bulking up their bags or purses.

Fast, slim and light ; Very reasonably priced ; Mom-friendly

Only the basics – photo geeks should look elsewhere ; Nothing particularly compelling vs the competition ; Image quality suffers in the high ISO range

In the end, I’d say that the Coolpix S3000 is an excellent all-arounder. If you want a camera that you can keep in your bag 24/7 and which you can whip out in a flash, without it looking like a cheap plastic contraption, then this is a terrific choice....

"Best Value for money paid"

I've had an S3000 which I broke, then I bought another one just like it. Why? because I've used a lot of pocket cameras from different brands , but this one is the best you can get with a budget below $150. I disagree with some users who gave this...

Small, smooth, good picture quality relatively to small budget

Don't you ever drop it ! very fragile even if it falls 1 foot from the floor.

"This camera sucks!"

Don't buy this unless you have the money to buy another one 6 months later!

It takes good pics during the day.

I bought this camera with hopes that it would be a good camera to take pics of my kids. Well it wasn't. I had to replace the battery after about 2 weeks because the one it came with wouldn't charge. I thought no big deal. It'll be worth it. 6 months later

The Nikon Coolpix S3000 is Very Cool!

All in all, this camera is great for a refurbished price. Light weight and very compact. Take real nice photos and video w great sound. I bought mine for $66.95 refurbished. It looks brand new! Nice device! I think the average person should really like...

Great small and thin in size, takes very nice photos, great easy functions, quicks response and nice video recording! Impressive

No battey drain indicator, camera only comes with a charging usb cable for either power or pc and not a real charger for the battery ( take out and put on charger ) Flimsy ac/ dc usb door
