Nikon Coolpix S3300Digital Camera Review

Nikon's S3300 is an affordable alternative to the rest of the company's extensive Coolpix lineup. Debuting in February of this year as a replacement for the S3100, the S3300 has received upgrades to optical zoom, megapixel count, and image...

The Coolpix S3300 isn’t a great camera, even for only $140. The cheap lens produces some of the most distracting chromatic aberration we’ve seen, and overall resolution is poor as a result. Shot to shot speed is also quite slow, ruling out action or...

Not a horrible camera

Lousy customer service from Nikon on what I thought was a pretty decent point and shoot camera. 1 year and 1 week and it died, it was 1 week out of warranty and they would not even discuss a replacement...

Small and compact, 16 megapixels

For 16 mp sometimes the pictures were very blurry and other times quite clear, don't know why either. The big con is how long this camera lasted. Bought it on 4/30/12 and it died the 1st week of May 2013. Guess what the warranty is? Yep 1 year! Nikon...

Nikon Coolpix S3300: Another Perspective

It has been a number of years since I've embarked on a digital camera upgrade. I have been using a trusty Olympus digital SLR camera and a FujiFinePix for years now, but they're admittedly dated at 8MP and 6MP, respectively. The Olympus takes great...

nice size

lens distortion

The Nikon S3300 is not a terrible camera but it is unlikely to satisfy the digital photography enthusiast.

The Nikon Coolpix S3300: It survived a total immersion in olive oil and still works!

The Nikon Coolpix S3300: It can survive a total immersion in olive oil and still work! By James Paul Zaworski Yes, it's true! You can temporarily submerge this camera in a bowl of olive oil, and it will still work! Okay, let me back up a bit to tell...

Lots of cool features, portability, price and durability

The antishake mode can make it a little slow

If you want an inexpensive digital point and shoot camera that is for the typical user, has a rechargeable battery, auto mode with antishake, this one is for you.

For the money its perfect

For the cost of the camera it well exceeds what I expected, perfect photos, easy transfer to a pc, nice small size.

Gift hit

Bought as a gift for a husband who has problems with cameras and taking photos. Ran him through the features and he picked them up the first time. Has been using in his business and at the race track taking photos with the different settings. Easy to...

This camera takes great quality pics and is easy to use. Small enough for pocket or purse. This is a great value.
