Nikon COOLPIX S6200 Review

The market is overflowing with hordes of point and shoot cameras. With the increasing number of cameras, it isn't an easy task to distinguish and pick the right one, given that every new addition emerges with slight tweaks, here and there. Augmenting...

Overall, the COOLPIX S6200 is a good looking camera and splashes in an array of colors to choose from. Nikon claims that the Li-ion battery EN-EL12 enables taking 250 shots at a single charge. The S6200 isn't crafted for camera enthusiasts and is a...

Nikon Coolpix S6200 (Silver)

The Nikon Coolpix S6200 is a perfectly average point-and-shoot camera. It does nothing very well, but it's also not completely without worth. Mostly, its value is tied up in its lens and design. It's barely bigger than a deck of cards, yet has an...

The Nikon Coolpix S6200 packs an ultrawide-angle lens with a 10x zoom into a very small body, but still remains comfortable and easy to use.

The S6200's autofocus and overall shooting performance are mediocre.

The Nikon Coolpix S6200 is not exceptional in any way, but casual snapshooters in need of a pocket-friendly 10x zoom camera should check it out.

Nikon Coolpix S6200Digital Camera Review

More zoom is usually a good thing, and it's always one of the best ways to help a point-and-shoot stand out from the legions of indistinguishable copycats.

Budget point-and-shoots can follow a few different paths to shine brighter than the rest of the crowded market. One way is with “fun” extras like picture effects and face recognition. Another is to strip down the feature set and focus on picture...

Nikon Coolpix S6200 Hands On Preview

Steve's recently got a few minutes to get a hands on look at six pre-production models Nikon will be bringing to stores this September as part of their ever expanding Coolpix series. The slimmest, and most affordable in the new bunch is the S6200, a...

Nikon COOLPIX S6200

On the lower-end of Nikon's travel zoom S-series, the S6200 packs a very good 25-250mm 10x optical zoom into a relatively compact package. You miss out on the higher resolution screen, 1080p HD video, and CMOS sensor of the S8200, but the cost savings...

Nikon Coolpix S6200

Long zoom in a small, affordable package, but with some performance issues.

Long 10x zoom ratio; Small, light body

So-so image quality; Clunky interface and user experience

Stupidest Camera I've ever used.

heaven forbid you have a 4gb sd card with a speed rating of a "4". it takes no lie, 8 full seconds to save each photo in the highest setting to the camera. by the time i realized i hate it, i'm stuck with it or "exchange only policy" (exactly 31 days...

Great outdoor Photo's. Wide angle lens and 10x optical zoom make it a wonderful outdoors camera. Use a Tripod, and the Panaramic photo mode makes things easy

HORRIBLE INDOOR LIGHTING CAMERA. EVERYTHING comes out blurry. EVERYTHING. No matter what "scene" mode you use. Even sports mode. If you put it in auto mode it will not let you turn on the flash, not even in auto, or poor lighting, or macro mode....

Product Specifications

The S6200 is a stylish model that, despite being equipped with a 10x optical zoom NIKKOR lens, has a slim, compact and elegant body. In addition to offering excellent basic performance with superior image quality and high-speed response, the S6200 is equipped with four features—less noise at high sensitivities, Motion detection function, lens-shift vibration reduction (VR) function, flash control system—that enable capture of beautiful nighttime shots.
