Nikon Coolpix S9500

Fast focus, a huge zoom range, and a slim body help distinguish the S9500

Slim body, excellent handling; Ample 22x zoom range with a handy 25mm wide angle; Snappy autofocus and a great macro mode

The extras don’t function nearly as well as we’d hoped

The S9500 is fundamentally sound, but its extra features fall flat.

I use this entirely outside to take pictures of still objects for work. Sometimes I have to use it at night; when I do, the flash seems well tuned and not overly aggressive.

Boss bought it for me ; Very good zoom ; Flashes when needed ; Battery seemed to last for ages ; Intuitive focus mechanism

Seems pricey, but again, the bossman bought it for me ; I'm no camera buff, but it did seem like there were some manual controls that I would enjoy using. Maybe I can't find them. If that's the case, then the con is unintuitive menu navigation

Lackluster Preformance

Excellent zoom, good battery life

Very slow processing the image capture. The low light sensor only works well for still images. Because the camera has the low light sensor it tries to not use the flash even when needed
