The CAMEDIA C-770 Ultra Zoom shares the title as the world's smallest 10X optical zoom, 4.0 megapixel digital camera with its sibling, the C-765UZ (as of April 2004). It's an all-in-one camera solution for photographers who want the widest focal length ra

Overall, the Olympus C-770UZ is an excellent camera. With its stylish and ergonomic body, excellent image quality, and versatile exposure modes, every member of your family will enjoy using it. Its big zoom lens adds to the fun factor, enabling you to cap

Olympus C-770 Ultra Zoom

Olympus makes its latest Ultra Zoom smaller and improves its video capabilities.

The C-770 is a good choice if you want maximum zoom power in a small package.

Olympus Camedia C-770 Zoom Digital Camera Review: Intro and Highlights

The Olympus C-770 Ultra Zoom is the current high-end model in an ongoing line of long-zoom digicams from Olympus. While the long-zoom market is getting more crowded these days, Olympus really pioneered it with their excellent C-2100, and still retains...

Bytesector previously took a look at the Olympus C-740 Ultra Zoom digital camera. Today we will look at its successor; the C-770. This digital camera comes bundled with 10X optical zoom, a 4 megapixel CCD, and a low price tag. Let's take a look at this...

Olympus C-765 / C-770 Ultra Zoom

The Olympus C-765 and C-770 Ultra Zooms are updated versions of 2003's popular C-740 and C-750 cameras. For 2004, they've received a sleeker body, the TruePic TURBO engine (for better performance and image quality), MPEG4 support (C-770 only), and...

Excellent photo quality ; Compact metal bodies (considering the size of the lens) ; Many manual controls ; My Mode feature lets you store favorite settings to spot on mode dial ; Conversion lenses supported ; Remote control included [C-770 only ; Hot...

Poor low light focusing, no AF-assist lamp ; LCD/EVF too dark to be useable in low light ; Full shutter speed range only available in "M" mode ; Full manual only on CD ; Image stabilization would be nice

Regardless of which one you choose, both of these Ultra Zooms are great cameras.

Olympus C-770 UZ

A couple of weeks ago I decided to replace my 5 year old C-770 with a Canon SX20IS. Just in case I had some trouble with the new camera, I took the C-770 along, as a back-up, on a weeks holiday in beautiful Norfolk Island in the South Pacific. I shot...

Olympus C-770 UZ

I've used my C-770UZ now for 3 years. I paid around £400 when they came out and still think it was worth it. They can be picked up used now from as little as £100 and this has to be a bargain! I've used other cameras during this time, but haven't found...

The only downsides I can find to this camera so far are the slow start up time compared to newer models and battery life. Even when it shows "battery low" though, it's usually got a fair bit of life left before you need to change it
