Olympus D-545 Zoom

Numerous preprogrammed shooting modes; pocket-friendly shape; low price.

Limited manual adjustments; some photos lacked sharpness; defaults to medium-compression setting when powered on.

This inexpensive camera would be good for knockabout use, though it offers limited features and less than optimal image quality.

"Great camera for business use."

Great overall basic camera. Good picture quality and durable case. Camera dropped from the roof of my mini-van at about 50mph. It bounced down the road and ended up on the yellow line. That was 3 years ago. I am a real estate appraiser and use it to...

I use this camera daily, it has proved to be durable and dependable.

Is slow to reset after flash photos.

Olympus D-545 Zoom

This is my first digital camera. I've bought it a year ago and since then I'm very glad with it. You can make photos with a very good quality, with a very sharp colours and details and you have also a lot of programs to shoot in any kind of...

Lack of manual settings. That's not really a problem but this feature would make the camera even better! That's the only reason which made me give 4.5 points in the features menu.

"very good product for the price"

For someone who wants a simple camera that's easy to use at a relatively low price, this is a good choice. The pictures, even blown up, compare to my son's camera which cost three times as much. It is small, light, and easy to carry in a pocket which...

user friendly compared to some more expensive brands, the 12 second delay timer gives ample time to get into self portraits or group shots

eats batteries, better have quite a few rechargeables at the ready
