Olympus Camedia D-595

Good image quality. Low price.

Small LCD. Slow bootup. Some distortion on both ends of the zoom range.

The Olympus D-595 Zoom offers good image quality at a good price, but that's about it. If you want extras, you'll have to look elsewhere.

Olympus D-595 Zoom

The 5.0-megapixel D-595 Zoom combines the power of manual control with the convenience of an easy-to-use design for incredible results. Featuring manual control of shutter speed and aperture options, a 3x optical zoom and 19 shooting modes, the D-595 Zoom

Bottom line - the Olympus Camedia D-595 Zoom is a well rounded digicam. With an estimated street price of around $220, great image quality, and speedy performance, it offers an excellent value for those who are seeking an inexpensive alternative to film.

Olympus C-500 Zoom Review

The Olympus C-500 Zoom (called the Olympus D-595 Zoom in the USA) is a 5 megapixel compact digital camera that was first announced at the PMA show back in February 2005. Aimed firmly at the beginner market, the Olympus C-500 Zoom...

The Olympus C-500 Zoom is an easy-to-use, well-made entry level digital camera that ultimately is difficult to get too excited about. With the exception of the Manual exposure mode, which gives you some control over aperture and shutter speed, it...

Better cameras available for the money. Good 1st time kids camera.

Takes poor pictures inside. Great all around outside shots. (just don't move too much, has No shake stailization) Do yourself a favor and go to the Canon SD line

I got this camera a month ago and I was dissapointed about it. It has big problems with focus and it eats batteries like hell... After less than 30 shots with flash, a set of 2000 mA/h Ni Mh batteries are finished. This camera has a lot of noise in low...

Poor focus, high battery consumption, noisy pictures

I picked one of these up from Olympus' ebay store. It was refurbished with a 90 day Olympus warranty. It looks brand new! It shipped to Canada with no surprise duty charges or brokerage fees for $6usd! The Camera is great! Automatic mode gets the job...

Well, I had expected a little "more" from this camera. Takes lousy pics inside. Best outside shots. Picture quality quite poor either way. Would do nicely as a kids first camera. But even then I would still feel guilty for giving them this camera.

I used different cameras last few years, this one i've bought few days ago and am very pleased with it's image quality (regarding it's a compact camera) it's lightweight, very good power management (2 AA can work much longer with this camera then with...

Only thing that bother me is that it have movie recording but only in 320x240 and QTM format, i guess it would be better to put MPEG4 and higher resolution
