Olympus FE-4000

With 12 megapixels, you can always be confident that each picture you take will be of the highest quality. You will be able to take pictures which are high enough resolution to print, even when you zoom in and crop out the parts you don't want.

Want to capture a movie instead of a picture? No problem. The FE-4000 allows you to shoot video in the VGA mode. Sharing videos is easy as well, with the OLYMPUS Master 2 software that is included with the purchase of your Olympus FE-4000.

Olympus FE-4000: It's slim, cheap and shiny, but is it any good?

Slim, cheap

Image quality, performance, build quality

The Olympus FE-4000 is a shockingly bad camera even by budget compact standards. It has inferior build quality, appallingly slow performance and image quality worse than most mobile phone cameras. In short, avoid.

Ease of use - low price pocket camera

Picture quality - slow turn on time - very slow shutter lag times

The Olympus FE-4000 is not a camera I can recommend. Picture quality is wide of the mark even for a cheaper pocket camera and shutter delay times could be a big issue.

Ok camera, good for the price

buy a camera case, i suggest the polypropylene: the large screen and the metal case tend to get dirty very fast...

I bought it on sale for $64, so no complaints there ; It's small, got a good metal feeling, very nice clear screen ; This camera is the perfect pocket camera, being very slim

difficulties to focus on low light, even with the low night preset. Not so fast in saving 12mp pictures and to recharge the flash

Reliable as always!

Cameras work great! I bought 2, one for me and one for GF, so we can interchange batteries, mem cards, etc.

Shipped same day as ordered and arrived the next day...sort of! I'll explain below. But Olympus cameras are intuitively simple and easy to use...I've owned several Olympus cameras and I would be hesitant to use another brand. Works like a new...

For the 1st time in years... UPS delivered to wrong house and I actually got box the following day. Not Eggs fault

Awful

I jumped to buy since it was a refurb on special sale and because it was an Olympus (i like Olympus) figured i can't go wrong......I was wrong! and there's no refund. $70 ill spent. I didn't follow my rule to "read the reviews first" and got burned....

Nice size, good big display, compact, cool case, menus are ok. it will take pictures. it will take movies But

The pictures are really awfull. not a good lens. pictures are not sharp, their grainy, and just fuzzy. they look just as bad on the computer as they do on the camera. a guy said his phone takes better pictures and he was right, i know my 1M camera...

Terrible Camera

If I hadn't have bought it at Thanksgving I might have made the 30 day return policy. Oh well, the kids can use it.

Large screen. rechargeable Lion battery. Auto focus is ok

Miserable pictures. Blurry, poor flash. Camera is only good for day pictures. No matter what setting you use, the pictures come out grainy and poor. Plus the lag between pictures is so frustrating, you want to throw it away ; I got better pictures from...
