Nice features, design for its price; 1GB of built-in storage; one-touch movie recording.

Soft, noisy photos above ISO 200; long shutter lag; ineffective image stabilization.

The Olympus SP-600UZ is easy on your wallet for a megazoom, but its photos and performance require a lot of compromise.

This is one of the cheaper digital cameras offering extra zoom power. As you might expect I found some picture quality issues as Olympus have pushed the boundaries and kept the price down.

"Amazing... Except for the batteries."

 

Its a really good camera, don't get me wrong. I love it and wouldn't change it for a different one, It's perfect for what I use it for (pictures of my tort) but the batteries thing REALLY gets me down about it.

Amazingly detailed pictures, Epic zoom proportion.

It takes batteries. I absolutely hate the fact that it takes batteries, I don't know about anybody else, but mine eats batteries alive. Hubby says get the rechargeable batteries, but it doesn't matter, my camera will go through 4 batteries a week.
