It’s cheap, it boasts a 10x optical zoom yet (with zoom retracted) will fit in a trouser pocket Responsive in low light conditions ; 24 mm wide angle ; Controls and menus are generally user-firendly!!!best value-money!!!!!

Looking for a knockabout pocket camera with larger than average zoom that won't cost the earth? The metallic silver VR-310 we had in for review – with black, red, or purple also available - is both attractive in an unassuming way, bit also an all-too...

It’s cheap, it boasts a 10x optical zoom yet (with zoom retracted) will fit in a trouser pocket

Picture quality is distinctly shaky towards maximum zoom, and we lose corner detail at maximum wideangle, plus sound cannot be recorded if zooming in video mode

The zoom to price ratio of the Olympus VR-310 may look appealing at first glance, and the outer shell is certainly better than we’d expect for £99, but unfortunately it’s in the crucial area of image quality that it betrays its no frills price tag,...

A small camera with a big zoom lens

Cheap given the broad zoom range; simple layout; Magic Filter digital effects are fun and easily applied

Only average picture quality with pronounced pixel fringing on brighter images; we struggled to get sharp shots the more we zoomed in; zoom can't be used on video

Cheaper than similar models, but if you're serious about image quality you'll need to spend more
