Panasonic Lumix DMC-F7 (digital camera)

Surprisingly svelte The F7 gave us a surprise right out of the box--it's a marked improvement over Panasonic's earlier forays into the category. Outwardly, the 6.5-ounce (with the battery and the media installed) camera follows the aesthetic trail...

Fits in a shirt pocket; durable metallic body with built-in lens cover; long-lasting rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

Most settings accessible through menus only; measly 8MB of memory included; limited 2X optical zoom.

Portable, pricey, and stylish, the Lumix DMC-F7 is a capable snapshot camera. Still, avid photographers will want more features.

Owners Opinion: Panasonic Lumix DMC-F7 (Sergio Alves, 20 Feb 05)

I bought this camera in July 2004. My idea was to get a camera that gave good quality pictures and was small enough to carry in my pocket without being seen, as cost-effective as possible. As far as one can tell for his first digital camera, I think it...

It has a proprietary battery (instead of AA batteries) that does not last very long ; The flash only works well at small distances ; Memory card of only 8 Mb (about 15 pictures at the highest size - but you can buy a much larger one today for a...

Owners Opinion: Panasonic Lumix DMC-F7 (afp_global, 17 Oct 04)

I bought this excellent camera at a very low discounted (and discontinued) price, as a "happy snapper" for my children. I had read reviews about the other range of Panasonic cameras and was considering by a high-end model, particularly because of...

Some night-shots did not work out for her but only because the distance was too long for the power of flash ; It even has video, but this has to be selected from the menu system rather than an exterior button

Owners Opinion: Panasonic Lumix DMC-F7 (Nuclear, 26 Feb 04)

The F7 is a relativly good camera. For 350$ I wouldn't expect anything better. The image quality is excellent for 2 megapixel, it's sharp and clear. Macro focus is also very clean, which I really love in this camera. My problems with it, are the...
