Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS12

I come from the full manual camera, B/W, and autoprocesing all the photo steps by my own. I used mainly OlympusOM-1. So, Panasonic FS12 was/is no my first digital camera, but yes the first I use for my personal shooting experience.

I dont find weakness, but yes it have its limits ; For sport, is not easy (but not impossible), because the camera hard response to quick actions (for example, my dongs playing) ; For macro, the involuntary movement of the hand some times make your...

Product Specifications

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS12 features Venus Engine IV. The image-processing engine, Venus Engine IV, uses advanced signal processing to give you beautiful images even when the sensitivity is high. Multi-task signal processing is employed for all images to enable high-speed, high-performance shooting. Venus Engine IV also effectively raises the precision of various functions, such as MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) and Intelligent ISO Control. Along with its extremely high performance, Venus Engine IV reduces power consumption thanks to a number of energy efficiency improvements. Luminance noise and chromatic noise are reduced separately in the Venus Engine III. In addition, the Venus Engine IV enhances this detection by effectively reducing highly noticeable low-frequency chromatic noise in advance, while delicately applying noise reduction (NR) processing to detailed areas to prevent the color bleeding that often happens when NR is used. As a result, beautiful images with minimal noise can be reproduced all the way up to ISO 1600 high sensitivity at full resolution while color noise is less noticeable in shadows and other dark areas even when shooting with low sensitivity. When the camera's in iA mode, the Intelligent Scene Selector automatically sets the Scene mode to either Scenery, Portrait, Macro, Night Portrait or Night Scenery. The camera judges it from the various detection results such as focusing and brightness level of the circumstance. You are free from annoying settings every time scene changes when taking pictures with these most frequently used Scene modes to get beautiful results even before you know it. Unlike a conventional normal mode, Scene modes automatically activate the compensation effects that are best suited to particular shooting situations. They give you images that are more beautiful and closer to your original intention. Whereas you ordinarily have to select a mode for each situation, the Intelligent Scene Selector in iA mode makes the selection automatically. When there is strong backlighting, the background appears nice and bright, but the subject is dark. This function detects backlight condition and compensates it automatically.
