Ok, this camera is rugged as suggested which is really the biggest selling point for these devices. Shots are a bit softer compared to non-rugged cameras, but thats to be expect so i don't see a reason to take much marks off because of this. The...
1. rugged - hey it can take a beating/water/dust/freeze/heat, thats more than enough for most of us ; 2. fast boot - only takes 1~2 sec to boot up, though for this price range u would expect that ; 3. quick shot even in low light ; 4. made in japan,...
1. shots are on the softer side i agree ; 2. video can be clearer and with less shaking, but its not bad by any stretch ; 3. software provided that does format conversion is not good

I had hoped for better quality pictures and movies. The camera did take acceptable pictures during a snorkel trip.
Lots of features, rugged, with 1080p movie mode
Poor software supplied as Panasonic now only provides PhotoFunstudio HD lite 6.1 with the camera. This does not allow much movie editing and only outputs 720p video despite capturing 1080p. Manual is on disc and is of poor quality and does not do an ade

In this video review, Rich Trenholm absent-mindedly drops the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT3 into a glass of the wet stuff. But don't fear -- this rugged compact camera is waterproof, as well as dustproof...

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 is the manufacturer's third shot at a high-end rugged camera. (It's the fourth if you include the more budget-friendly DMC-TS10.) The price continues to hover just south of the $400 mark, but Panasonic has again bulked up...
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 is a fast-shooting, easy-to-use rugged compact camera with excellent features to justify its high price
The TS3's photos and movies look soft
GPS and fast shooting performance make the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 a worthy rugged point-and-shoot even if its photos and videos aren't the sharpest.

The tough Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 (also called the DMC-FT3 in some regions) can go diving, skiing, snorkeling and more with no ill effects, reviewers say. It's waterproof to 12 meters, freezeproof to -10 degrees Celsius, dustproof, and it can...
Waterproof up to 12 meters, freezeproof to -10 degrees Celsius, shockproof to 2 meters, dustproof, fast shooting, records full HD video
Expensive compared to competition, soft details in photos and video
Those are slightly more rugged stats than the previous Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 (the previous critics' choice), and experts point out that the TS3's new GPS feature could be useful if you want to know exactly where in the wild you captured that shot --...

Panasonic are big players in the compact camera market and are most popular for their Lumix series of cameras. Cameras, being electronic gadgets are susceptible to natural weather conditions and also calamities due to clumsiness on the part of the...
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT3 is priced at a market operating price of Rs. 27,200. This is on the pricier side of point of shoot cameras. Though it has some amazing features and delivered on all performance fronts, the price is a bit of a let down....

How many of us who take photographs on a regular basis can deny that, at one point or another, our camera hasn't inadvertently taken a tumble from our grasp or camera bag? To avoid that heart-in-mouth moment, and for added peace of mind, there's the...
Rugged build, rammed full of the latest must have features, reasonably priced (if at the higher end of the price spectrum compared with a non toughened snapper), easy to use, good results with the minimum of fuss, built in GPS, 3D mode, Full HD clips
Priced at a slight premium, operational buttons too small and fiddly to be operated with gloves on or with wet fingers
This compact snapshot packs in a host of the latest must have features and wraps it all in a reinforced shell that results in a modest price premium. A good all rounder though

One tough son of a gun, but backs that up with first class features and strong performance
Rugged cameras have been around for years, but the new generation of steel-skinned snappers is stepping things up on the feature front – and the Panasonic FT3 is a perfect example. Not only can this c

Award: Best Buy!
There's no shortage of rugged, waterproof cameras, but the Panasonic FT3 is as resilient as they come. It'll survive drops from two metres, can operate 12 metres underwater, or in temperatures down to -10 degrees centigrade, plus it's perfectly happy...
Image quality isn't outstanding but the long list of great features, from 12m waterproofing to 1080p video capture, makes this an impressive all-rounder.
It looks reassuringly tank-like with its curved metal body and substantial door for its battery, card slot and sockets. Although we didn't test its rugged credentials to their limits, the design seems to match up with Panasonic's claims.

This 'toughened' camera features Full HD video, GPS antenna, 3D shooting mode and is waterproof, shockproof, freeze proof and dust proof.
Shock, dust and waterproof ; Onboard GPS and compass ; 3D shooting mode
Image quality only so so ; Not the most glove friendly buttons ; No cover for the lens ; No manual mode
In terms of default image quality the FT3 may provide similar results to your typical £199 point and shoot then, but for that extra £100 you're getting additional goodies such as its nigh indestructible construction, GPS which makes this a real tool...
While we couldn't quite replicate exactly the full gamut of rugged tests required to take this camera to its limits it certainly survived the few trials we put it under. And based on past experience with the Panasonic FT2, we're sure The FT3 will be...

Designed to survive being used in water up to 12m deep, dropped from a height of 2m and frozen down to -10℃, the FT3 could be ideal camera for ski-bums, surf-dudes and general outdoor types who will love its GPS technology
Very solid build quality ; Imressive secs, such as Full HD video recording, GPS and more ; Focusing seed is excellent
Not a lot of manual control available ; GPS system sometimes got confused in our test
Solid build quality and impressive specs, with Full HD video recording, GPS and more. Focusing speed is very fast.

Like all tough and waterproof cameras the FT3 has its downsides, though it's one of the best models you can buy.
GPS is responsive ; Tough, rugged chassis can withstand most situations ; Easy to use
Image and video quality falters in less than optimal light ; Not crushproof
Like all tough and waterproof cameras the FT3 has its downsides, but it's one of the best models you can buy. Primarily, the decision will come down to image quality — the FT3 is good, but not great at taking photos. The Sony TX10 edges it out slightly...
The FT3 is available in silver, orange, red and blue, and Australia is also getting the optional marine case (AU$449), which extends the waterproofing to 40m, as well as a flotation carrying strap and case.
