Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX10 review

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX10 (series)

Optical image stabilization; comfortable design and solid build.

Modest feature set; artifacts and moiré detract from otherwise nice images.

The DMC-FX10 is a solid, well-priced compact camera that should satisfy most snapshooters.

If you're not too picky about your images, as many snapshooters aren't, you'll likely be pleased with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX10. For its price range, it's a solidly built camera that performs well. Plus, its image stabiliaation gives it a welcomed...

Panasonic DMC FX10

There is more to the Panasonic DMC FX10 than its low price tag. It is hard to think of a better pocket sized digital camera available at a lower price. Picture quality may not be perfect, but it is some way above average.

Ease of use - indoor photos - image stabilisation - LCD display quality

Photos could be brighter in places - focusing speed can be slow

A worthwhile purchase

May or may not be the very best in it's market segment, but definitely worth considering, I've had it a year and don't regret the purchase at all. It's on the large end of the ultracompact market, but with a large LCD and amazing battery life.

Nice small camera, with a big 2.5"" screen and great battery life. It reliably takes good sharp pictures under most conditions and doesn't fail to take a picture under challenging conditions like some cameras I have owned. I can't really comment on...

Nothing's perfect, it has a slide switch for on/off on top that easily gets switched on in my pocket. The powersaver does turn it off, but leaves the lens extended for an uncomfortable feeling. And living in my pocket, the mode selection gets turned...

A perfect balance between photo quality, size and price

Efficient optic stabilization, excellent photo quality, small size and good LCD screen.

Rotating zoom control could be easier to operate, battery door don't lock automatically.

A perfect balance between photo quality, size and price

I bought the Lumix FX10 10 days ago after trying the Pentax M30, and the Nikon S200. Ten days of extensive test and now, I can give you my first conclusion. I will look at it through 4 aspects: Characteristics, Ergonomics, Photo quality and then a ...
