Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28: Sneak Peek

Panasonic's new 18x EVF, the 10.1 megapixel Lumix DMC-FZ28 ($399 SRP) looks and feels a lot like last year's very capable 18x EVF, the 8.1 mepagixel DMC-FZ18 ($350 street)-and that's a good thing.Remember, the FZ18 finished best in class in a three-way...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 Review at Camera Labs

Should you ultimately decide on the Panasonic FZ28 though, you won't be disappointed. Like its predecessor it delivers a compelling array of features for the money and easily comes Highly Recommended.

I bought this camera last year. It's light but very solid. I'm impressed by the high quality of the optic and the pictures. Great continuous shooting mode. I love the 12x zoom and the optical stabilizator.

Weak flash, menus not intuitive, very poor low light focus ; The battery doesn't last long and a second costs a lot

I've taken 300+ shots with this camera. And I'm extremely satisfied with it. The image stabilizer is great. Most people say that its difficult to focus in low-light situations, but I was able to do it without encountering that much difficulty. Thanks...

I don't know if it's normal with other digital cameras of this level, but when I half-press the shutter button, and the camera trys to focus, once it was able to focus on the picture, the LCD darkens. I think that's the problem that I encountered so far

I bought the FZ2 in March 2004 to go with the FZ1 I've had since May last year. My main reason for buying it was the bargain price when Panasonic UK were dumping stocks (for reasons known only to them). I paid £199. Since this camera is very similar...

Low light focussing, but feels better than the FZ1 ; Noisy and grainy pictures at ISO 400 settings. No discernible difference from FZ1 ; Weak flash. Same as FZ1 ; Poor auto white balance under artificial light. (But easy to set manuallly.) Same as FZ1...

I have been using my FZ-2 for about four months now, and I have to say that in that time this camera has met or exceeded almost all my expectations, which is rare. I am the kind of person who researches his purchases obsessively, and this camera is no...

Weak Flash ; Included 8mb card is a joke. (get a Sandisk Ultra II, they are FAST, no lost images to date.)

This is really great and fun camera for this price. Little camera with great zoom and image quality. Check the pics I've taken, these are straight out of camera without post-processing, only resized for the web. Actually without resizing they are...

for some people 2 mpix might be a problem, not for me, I'm not printing anything larger than A4 ; No RAW output ; No manual focus, but automatic works fine also. Not so bad even in bad lightning conditions

For those looking at this cam: You won't find a 12x IS lens at this price point elsewhere. End of story. The pictures are quality. I snap with the "warm" setting at ISO 50 most often and they turn out warmly saturated and crisp. Battery time is decent,...

Vignetting (sp?) with lens extention and cir. pol. filter ; Weak flash ; Extra batteries expensive
