The Lumix DMC-TZ30 is a fine compact camera with a big zoom lens and a good quality sensor. It can be used in almost all manner of situations, even for video recording, and it's perfect for travellers because it's so easy to carry.

Beaten for image quality in low light, but in almost every other respect this is the best pocket-sized ultra-zoom camera available

The DMC-TZ30 is packed with features. Build quality simply can't be faulted. Although there was some noise on a few results, the output overall was of a standard to be proud of. Colour reproduction was good, even under unfavourable shooting conditions.
