This should have been the SV-AV30

It features lots of stuff the previous incarnation, the SV-AV30 lacks. SV-AV30 had a VGA Quality Camera, which is 1/3 of a megapixel the SV-AV25 has a full 2 megapixel camera. Hands down which is superior for stills. Both the 25 and the 30 has the Sup

negatives. The 25 is slightly longer then the 30. The 25 doesn't have the cradle connection so you can't recored TV, which a shame, becuase a 30 FPS would make a lot better for viewing TV shows then the 30s 15 FPS Still no optical zoom High Price. $3

Great all in one !

Compact, eliminates the need for carring so many electronics, pictures are not to bad for a 2 mp. You get exactly what you pay for. Overall, I am pretty happy with it

Lack of optical zoom (not a big deal) & 8mb card is not big enough

I expected more... :-(

Compact size, has many useful features in one single device, picture quality is somewhat decent, it looks so pretty

No image stabilization, video quality is bad compared to other equally priced digital products in the market (my digital camera records better videos with better audio!). Don't get me's not the worst quality in the world, but it is still bad. P

Great unit for the price, fun.

Small size. Fits in your pocket easy. Good video and photos. Easy to use. I have filmed some video here:

If you film in the mpeg4 mode (extra fine) you have to convert it with Panasonic's software before you can view it with Windows media player. One should not have to go though this extra step

What can I say about the last reviewer besides WRONG! If you can drag and drop in windows you can get mp3's on this device I love people that have something for one hour, return it then write an extensive review on the item.

good all around device

Winner of the Silly design award

Take the quality of the digital still images from a camera phone and the quality of the video clips from a cheap digital still camera and combine that with an MP3 player and you have the Panasonic SV-AV25.

Compact Size

In an attempt to do everything, this little machine does nothing well

Doesnt cut it

This product simply tries to do too much and fails at doing a good job at anything. I rarely return items unless they're really unsatisfactory, but this went back. My requirements werent huge...we just had a baby and I wanted something small, solid ...

Small, got it for $140 at sams club.

Lousy video, photo and sound quality. Needs proprietary s/w to operate. Was returned.

Unique Little Silver Toy (Part 2)!

I reviewed the Panasonic D-Snap SV-AS10D and since Panasonic offers a few different D-Snap models I feel I should cover them all, in complete fashion. While the SV-AS10 is considered a digital ...

Compact, records good video, stills, audio, and plays music

Unique design needs different handling, hassle to play music on the unit

Product Specifications

The SV-AV25 is great for recording video on the go. It records MPEG4 video at 30 frames per second, so you get smooth, natural-looking action footage without a choppy "frame-by-frame" effect. MPEG4 video is ideal for sharing over the Internet by e-mail, posting on Web pages or viewing on a compatible PC or television. Don't let life pass you by for another second. Take digital pictures on the fly wherever you go with your SV-AV25. It takes print-quality 2-megapixel snapshots and offers a variety of functions rivaling those of a conventional full-size digital still camera. Great for sharing with family and friends. Listen to tunes on your SV-AV25? That's right - enjoy MP3 or AAC digital music files for up to four hours. Ideal for the commute to work, exercising or tuning out your professor. Did a great idea just enter your head? Run into a celebrity on the street? Nobody is going to believe you unless you recorded it on the SV-AV25. The built-in microphone lets you record sound onto an SD Memory Card in the same way as you would with an IC recorder. The SV-AV25 comes with a 2" diagonal LCD screen for quick, on-the-spot playback. It allows you to look at still images or video that you recorded with your D-snap SD Video Camera. The SV-AV25 has two conveniently positioned REC buttons - making it easy for you to take pictures vertically or horizontally. And the LCD screen adjusts to your shooting style, so the picture on the display is always right-side up.
