Pentax Optio M10 First Impressions Review

The Pentax Optio M10 is a 6 megapixel, entry level camera with 3x zoom intended for point-and-shoot snapshots with its friendly Green mode, 22 MB of internal memory, and very few manual controls. In response to customers' changing shooting habits,...

- Long battery life - Use of standard AA batteries - Tracking focus option - Large image screen

- Zoom is too speedy - Zoom switch is not for large hands - Flash is not very strong - No manual white balance

The Pentax M10 sticks to a successful formula. It offers a large and high-quality viewing screen. It attacks the problem of menu confusion and control button "overload", and yet still offers some hidden functionality. With its Help functions only a...

A no fuss point & shoot that takes fabulous pictures with a click of the shutter. All my friends with their Sony's, Panasonics, and Canons are all surprised at how well my pictures turn out when compared to theirs. Fast and well built. The camera...

After about 3 years of use, travelling all over North America, Europe, and Asia, it's finally developed 2 small hot pixels on the sensor. That's right. Two.

Nice snapshot camera. My second digital camera (first was Sony DSC-P7). Plusses: - Large LCD - Easy to learn and use - Incredibly long battery life

My Pentax Optio M10 developed a problem 10 months after purchase. The lens stuck in the deployed position and would not retract when the camera was powered-off. After researching and complying with their requirements for in-warranty repairs, I sent the...

Best camera for old people. Simple and fine. Just choose small ISO values to reduce noise. Not good for those, who want to become a professional photographer. Autofocus presets work well.

Not enough comfortable to handle because of small size (I think, larger buttons would be more suitable)

I just received this camera today and put it through some picture taking paces, outdoors and inside (640 to 6mp res). Everything functioned well, and the quality of the pictures taken (viewed on monitor) are just fine. I have not printed any photos yet.

Size, ease of use, long battery life

I have not disovered any negatives yet
